An artist friend got ripped apart on Twitter for daring to say that $4k for 80 full-rights illustrations was too low. $50 per. It was a Tarot deck due in one year. That's 1 illustration completed every 4.5 days non stop for a year straight. My first thought was "I wouldn't even do that job for $40k"

With the new influx of furs, I figure it'd be good to go through how to mark content as NSFW on BlueSky. Marking your content as NSFW is super important and helps ensure content isn't shown to folks who don't want to see it or who shouldn't - it also makes it easier to find for those who do :) 1/4

One problem with having a furry character whose species died out long before our human ancestors ever saw them and could paint them in caves... Species references are super rare lol. Fossils, and other artists interpretations is the only way 😅

It's such a surreal experience to live above the arctic circle and wake up in the middle of a summer night and it's sunny daylight on the horizon. And then a few months later you wake up in the middle of the night again and it's pitch black. The few streetlights barely do the trick on doggywalk.
