NEW BLOG: An Inspector Recalls learningfrommymistakesenglish.blogspot.com/2025/01/an-i...

I’m late to the party with this one but THIS BOOK. I’m only 25% of the way through and it is so good. One of those novels that becomes your entire personality - when I’m reading it, I’m immersed and when I’m not reading it, it’s all I’m thinking about. Superb!

Getting back into the swing of teaching with an evening making quotation drills! Always loved this idea from @spryke2.bsky.social #edusky #teamenglish #litdrive #englishwales #aninspectorcalls #quotations #englishteaching #englishlit

Amy and I are going to start editing this after Christmas. Have had a brief look through and all I can say is… wow! This one is looking 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻!

Excited to be speaking at this!

Wishing everyone a happy and successful start to the new academic year. A new chapter full of possibilities! 😁

I really like this idea from @MrRobHistory on Twitter. I’m going to try it with some of my students in English for the literature texts. Great to see how one idea can be utilised across different subjects. Thanks, Derrick! @teamenglish1.bsky.social

Have just watched Michelle Obama’s speech at yesterday’s DNC convention. Superb. There are parts that would work brilliantly for a lesson on persuasive writing and rhetoric! @teamenglish1.bsky.social www.nbcwashington.com/decision-202...

Here are more resources that I’ve been working on over the summer! A set of lessons on English Language, Paper 1. As always, help yourselves and use/chuck/change as you see fit! www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/bf6zc... @teamenglish1.bsky.social

My good friend, @abetts.bsky.social has arrived on BlueSky. Fantastic teacher and the biggest champion of young people you will meet! Give him a follow!

Missed this the first time- must have been working! Excellent post which is part of a wider issue regarding the fall in respect for the teaching profession across society as a whole. I worked flat putt in lockdown1&2 teaching all lessons on Teams and prepping tons of video support. Knackering.

Oh hello Britain 😳 That blue line is activity in the UK spiking past all of the other countries on Bluesky right now. Welcome, and invite a friend to join us! bsky.app/download

Here’s another old blog of mine. This is my most read and was originally published during lockdown. Lots of people engaged with it positively at the time and lots hated it. Was just rereading and reflecting. Does some of this still chime true? englishteachersnotebook.blogspot.com/2020/05/teac...

It certainly feels like the good old days of Twitter on here doesn’t it? 👍🏻
