The video version of the Dire, Dire Docks arrangement that I made with my MU90 is up on youtube now! youtu.be/sdC7HTSBYPM #dtm #music #supermario64 #vgm #videogameost

I recently got a Yamaha MU90! I did a couple arrangements with it, but the one I'm most proud of is one I finished today, which is an arrangement of Dire, Dire Docks from Super Mario 64! Everything except the drums are from the MU, even the reverb. It's insane glacieawn.bandcamp.com/track/dire-d...

I made a new album on my bandcamp that's *just* for arrangements! glacieawn.bandcamp.com/album/arrang... I wanna start doing more arrangements of popular video game soundtracks, They're super fun hehe

I forgot to use Hashtags, so uh.. #Gamedev #Music #Commission #GameOST #DTM #Orchestral #World

I don't know how many people need music for their games, but I wanted to put a reminder out there that I'm available to work on game music/arrangement work! Whether you need DTM music made with actual hardware synths for a retro game, or orchestral/world, I can do that More Info: glacieawn.carrd.co

I love writing music for games hehe

as of the current news of discord possibly implementing ads into the software, I am looking for alternatives that will work. I've tried Matrix with my partner, and matrix keys are annoying to get working(and us both being in different homeservers didn't help). any other suggestions?

so... some people may or may not know that I have a youtube! it's mostly where I share little tracks of music that are just test tracks really. occasionally, I do upload one of my actual *good* tracks on there. riddle me this. why do my **awful** test tracks get more views then my good tracks?

went ahead and finished it with the eyes and everything, and with this, it takes up all 16 colors(or well, 15 + transparency). I even made the black #000001 instead of #000000, in case this *does* end up being used in a PS1 project, but it's still black in case it's a GBA/DS game.

I decided to try my hand at a 4bpp slime! I'm extremely happy with how this turned out. I'm really not that good at 4bpp artwork normally 😅 this is 24x24, and 11 colors + transparency so in theory, I *could* add more colors to this, but I think this is fine.

TIL that a lot of older renderers(think n64 - PS2) usually only ever used ambient lighting with multple light sources! I assume this was because diffuse lighting on every object would be CPU heavy

I finally got ambient lighting working in my renderer today! I want to work on diffuse lighting next, which will be a little harder, but still should b e manageable. ambient lighting is just adding a strength value to the light's color, and then adding that to your object's color. it's pretty nice

あかちゃんんんんん!!!!!

Ever have that one project where you're stuck trying to understand how something is supposed to work, but looking at other code and examples is like looking at an alien language? I am at that point in my renderer where I don't understand lighting.
