So these maps are doublesided, and sometimes the B side is more interesting than the A side, and vice versa. Can anyone think of any reason I shouldn't cherrypick from the best spots for stones, even if I end up gerrymandering my map pieces? Here's a for instance.

It took 2 hours to cut and then to make 30 scans of all the pieces of this oregon map and it kind of looks like if I tucked the piece in too close to the edge of the scanner it missed a little slice and I am 🤬🤬🤬

Sooo I tried to assemble the last map I scanned in photoshop and I MISSED BITS. Really starting to feel like my best bet on these would be to start with a decent photo, but then to scan this I would be better off cutting it FIRST and then scanning the smaller sheets which would actually lay flat.
