Andry José Hernández Romero, I remember you, even if I do not know how to articulate my horror, rage, & sorrow at your treatment by my government. No one has heard from you in 43 days. As vigil, I’m posting a photo of you every day until you are returned from El Salvador.

Nobody has seen or heard from Kilmar Ábrego García since he was deported to El Salvador. Today a US Senator went to El Salvador, he even saw the Vice President, but he wasn't allowed to see Kilmar Ábrego García. Donald Trump is desperately trying to cover this up.

I’M GOING TO KEEP POSTING THIS STORY UNTIL ANDRY IS FREED: Gay Venezuelan makeup artist sent to Salvadoran prison after a disgraced cop's report Andry Hernandez Romero sought shelter in the U.S. because he was persecuted as a gay man, one of the "particular social groups" allowed to claim asylum.

The top 1% evade $163 billion in taxes per year — enough to end homelessness, hunger, and pay for universal childcare. 👆🏻 This is the crime wave we should be talking more about.

1) Do something autocratic 2) Wait to see how people react 3) If they don't push back hard enough, carry on 4) If they do push back hard enough, "pause" it 5) Illegally consolidate more power 6) Repeat

Wishing you and yours a very merry Confederate Surrender Day

Funny but it's also the sad reality!

Don’t get complacent. We need 12 million people. Everyone who was in the streets on 4/5 needs to come back out on 4/19 and BRING A FRIEND! #USAProtest

We wouldn’t be here if SCOTUS had allowed the January 6th trial to go forward as scheduled.

The last day on which a majority of the Supreme Court’s justices had been appointed by Democratic presidents was May 14, 1969. One of the things we do in the legal academy is support our claims with facts.

I really feel like my country (England) is going broke, while the uber rich get richer, and they are selling all the jewellery and silver before packing their bags and making a run for it, instead of growing the economy, making trade partnerships, and investing in people. 😒

Awful scenes coming out of Gaza as Israeli govt announces its intention to seize more Palestinian territory and displace civilians yet again. The UK government is still shamefully complicit. We must stop arms sales, recognise Palestine, and hold those responsible accountable.

Good morning, a flower to brighten your day ☺️

If you were a halfway decent human being and you knew an innocent man was rotting in foreign prison—likely suffering nightmarish conditions—because your administration screwed up and send him there, you’d do something about it immediately instead of shitposting lies all day.

Democrats when they win: "We can't do anything. Republicans are blocking everything we try to do." Democrats when they lose: "We can't do anything. There's no way to block Republicans from doing whatever they want."

I can’t believe this is real! It’s like the worst caricature of how the right says Soros does politics.

The debate that seems to be unfolding today about how much tax the top 1% of earners in the UK pay should begin from the fact that we're discussing a small group of people who now account for approaching 10% of household income: a rich minority whose share of incomes has trebled since 1980.

"We can't do the right thing in case it energises the far right and they cease power." No. I'm sorry to tell you, but if you're making huge national decisions based on what might upset them, then they already have.

The thing about all these pieces complaining about Marine Le Pen's conviction is that not a single one of them bothers to explain why someone found guilty of embezzling millions of Euros from public funds should be allowed to get away with it

The sun is shining. The birds are singing. Le Pen's career is coming crashing down around her as a result of her brazen corruption. It's a good day.

For 140 days United Utilities dumped sewage illegally in Lake Windermere last year. The company has criminal convictions, violates its licence terms but allowed to operate illegally. Puny fines don't deter. Customers fleeced. Nothing will change until profit motive is ended.

To be honest I’m not sure that Labour have the moral high ground about the NHS right now, given that they’ve decided the way to rebuild it is by accelerating NHS privatisation. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

If Trumpty-Dumpty is working with the Russians to screw up America, he's doing a great job. Eggs, $11 a dozen. Health & Human Services down the dumper, ditto VA. If you call Social Security, they tell you to call back later. Guys 'n gals, this is more fucked up than Peter O'Toole on his birthday.

3.61 million hours of #sewage last year. 💩 And guess what, our #water #bills are going up by 26% on average this year. 😡 What we’re witnessing is the catastrophic failure of Thatcher’s privatisation experiment. 👎🏾 We need public ownership NOW! www.standard.co.uk/news/politic...

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
