Surely it's high time for Starmer and Labour to stop playing piggy in the middle between the US and the EU, and condemn what Trump is doing with a loud voice? www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

At a moment when we desperately need a fragile truce to hold, Trump’s ramblings on Gaza risk having the effect of a bull in a china shop. The UK needs to make clear that these proposals must be rejected, and that we support international law and a two state solution based on 1967 borders.

In his first term Trump was lazy and so little was done. In his second term Trump is still lazy, but those around him now realise this means that nothing can stop them.

Bet Donald Trump is delighted that his inauguration was overshadowed by an unhinged tech bro doing nazi salutes.

Thanks to all for your kind remembrances on this awful day. Words will come later. Only feelings at the moment. Mourn and remember him but don’t forget to celebrate too. We won’t see his like again. The man from another place has gone home. #DavidLynch #TwinPeaks

You’ll probably see this screenshot floating around a lot but it really was wonderful to see Lynch put a scene in Twin Peaks: The Return where he has his character literally stare at the camera and say that you should either support trans people or die. I needed to hear that in 2017

Keir Starmer wiping the floor with Kemi Badenoch, yet again. Ed Davey sounding like the real LOTO, yet again. Starmer is correct, Badenoch is just throwing complaints with no substance, from the sidelines. Davey on the other hand asks questions with substance. #PMQs

👀Is Rishi Sunak trying to avoid public scrutiny? He just switched his new company “The office of Akshata Murty and Rishi Sunak” from a limited company to an “unlimited” company. This means he no longer has to make his company accounts public 👀⤵️

This is not Valencia, this is the town Tenbury Wells UK. There are very real consequences for all of us of ignoring 40 years of warnings from NASA & the world’s leading scientists. Reminder: as the planet heats, the atmosphere holds more moisture meaning rainfall intensity increases. #climatechange

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election. Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

"What do you farm mate? Arable, beef? "Outrage"

"This guy" in the middle is very far from "an idiot" - he, in fact, makes a brilliant point.

So this turned out to be the final step in replicating Twitter for me. It's slightly fiddly, but if you follow the instructions on a desktop it doesn't take long. Found *1,600 people* I used to follow on Twitter. Allowed me to follow them all with the touch of a button. Strong reccomend.

Trying to make a damn bit of sense of the assisted dying debate iandunt.substack.com/p/trying-to-...

Let’s talk about Donald Trump and his new Attorney General pick Pam Bondi, because boy do we have a story to tell

Important context here: ● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares) ● "a big farm" is 217 acres. Now let's see who's angry: ● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres ● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres ● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres ● Dyson owns 36,000 acres

The fact that Jeremy Clarkson, Nigel Farage and Claire Fox have involved themselves with the farmers’ protests should tell us everything we need to know. And I say that as a farmer’s grandson.

Labour source: "For someone who’s not doing it to avoid inheritance tax, he seems to have an intimate knowledge of the next step he’s going to take to avoid inheritance tax."

Lucy van Pelt has finally gone too far. But she will be brought to justice

You have to admire Nigel Farage - who else would have the nerve to pretend to be the defender of farmers, after selling their whole industry down the river with his Brexit shitshow.

If you bring central London to a halt in order to campaign against catastrophic climate change then you're a "barmy" eco "fanatic" who deserves to be locked up. If you do the same to hang on to your multimillion pound inheritance tax exemption then you're a brave freedom fighter defying the odds

Man who told The Times in 2021 that he’d only bought his £4.25m farm to avoid paying inheritance tax to lead protest against inheritance tax 😂🤣😂 www.thesun.co.uk/news/3179317...

Jeremy Clarkson is turning up to the protest tomorrow. A reminder that he bought his 312-acre farm in 2012 for £4.25million in HIS OWN WORDS so that he: *would not be required pay death duties on the land*

As it is getting a bit trickier to do verification on here, I have written to the Parliamentary Digital Service to ask if they can help - e.g. by allowing MPs to use the parliament.uk domain as their handle.

Keir's Starmer's spokesperson asked if the PM is "concerned" about being at the G20 rather than being in Downing St for the farmers protest tomorrow Meet for key discussions with world leaders, or hang around to hear Jeremy Clarkson outside your house abusing you through a megaphone. A real dilemma

This unspeakable, insufferable cunt. Musk won't ever be able to demonstrate a microgram of the bravery and dignity Zelenskyy has demonstrated.
