It was a fun first half, but losing Ivey to a significant injury put a real damper on Detroit beating Orlando and exceeding last year’s win total. My recap on tonight’s game 🔽 www.detroitbadboys.com/2025/1/1/243...

Detroit Pistons defeat the Orlando Magic 105-96 🙏 Prayers up for Jaden Ivey who was injured tonight. (Still waiting on official word for what happened)

Quadruple-double for Chicago's Josh Giddey tonight - 23 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, 17 hair flips

Pistons call timeout at the 10:40 mark of the 3rd. JB didn't like the start. Too many open 3's, not enough hustle. Trailing the Nuggets 70-61

@keithsmithnba.bsky.social I gotta say... I'm impressed how fast y'all work over there on Spotrac. I'm back in the trade machine again and Paul Reed is already off the roster - I appreciate y'all! 😂

Cade Cunningham just played one of his best games yet in a #Pistons jersey. #Detroit is lucky to have #2 leading the way as they continue to improve this season - now sitting at 10-15! My recap for @detroitbadboys.bsky.social on tonight’s game 🔽 www.detroitbadboys.com/2024/12/7/24...

Cade Cunningham on the 2-game road trip to Boston and New York averaged 28 points, 9.5 rebounds and 14.5 assists. He shot 52.6 percent and hit 8 of 17 from 3 and 8 of 9 FTs. The case for an All-Star berth is gaining steam.

this is the kinda ball u wanna see from the pistons. when nyk starts creepin, they keep throwin em back out the club

JA SAYING HE’S NOT GONNA DUNK ANYMORE AND THEN CASUALLY DOING THIS. HE KNOWS THAT THE GAME OF BASKETBALL NEEDS IT AND I THANK HIM FOR HIS SERVICE

The last time the Pistons beat the Knicks: December 6, 2019. The Tony Snell game. 24 points 9/9 from the floor, 6/6 from 3.

FINAL: Pistons 120, Knicks 111. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with his fifth triple-double — 29 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. Pistons (10-15) controlled this one from the jump and snapped a 16-game losing streak to the Knicks. Great, great win.

Do you agree? ESPN predicts #Pistons Cade Cunningham will make his first All-Star game this season on Team LeBron

A bad formula for this one. Pistons played an emotional game last night, a Cup qualifier, then had to travel to Boston to play the defending champs, who had last night off.

JB Bickerstaff already taking his second time out as Detroit is down 21-7 just five minutes into the game and Boston is 5-for-7 from three. Looks like Stew is checking in for Duren - wonder who else JBB is taking out because this is embarrassing

Pistons have used Tobias Harris and Simone Fontecchio to guard Brook Lopez while Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart have guarded Giannis and Bobby Portis.

Easy to see why the Bucks have won six-straight. Dame and a bunch of shooters just led an 11-3 run with Giannis on the bench. Can't give an inch of space or they're bombing away

Duren just picked up his third foul. He's only played nine minutes and we likely won't see him until the second half

JB Bickerstaff does this team a disservice when he puts Ausar in the corner and uses Stew as the roll-man when they're both on the court together. Stew was one of this team's best shooters last year and he just doesn't...shoot anymore.

The Bucks are an unconscious 12-18 from 3. Dame with 3 of them, all butter

JB gets whistled for a tech. Didn't like the foul call on Ausar, which wasn't a good one. Giannis might've fouled him first

Bucks shoot 15-for-21 from deep in the first half as they lead the Pistons 78-59. Defensive effort has been awful - you can call it an outlier on the Bucks' hot shooting, but Detroit hasn't had a hand in the shooter's face for majority of those threes.

Another Lillard 3, another Duren foul (and a technical) in the first 92 seconds of 3Q. J.B. Bickerstaff was pleading for an offensive foul on Giannis seconds before he drew the foul on Duren.

Isaiah Stewart hits a three - it's frustrating he isn't hoisting five a game.

Pistons can't lay a finger on Giannis. Stew just fouled out. Duren has four.

Unfortunately, this is progress.

Pistons lose 128-107 to the Bucks and their NBA Cup hopes are over. Cade: 23 PTS, 5 REB, 6 AST Tobias: 16 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST THJ: 15 PTS Giannis: 28 PTS, 7 REB, 8 AST Dame: 27 PTS, 4 REB, 5 AST Bucks hit a season-high 23 three-pointers - seems like teams always get hot from deep against Detroit.

tonight's game against the Bucks is the Pistons' most meaningful game since April 22nd, 2019, when the Pistons were in the 1st round of the playoffs playing the Bucks

JB on if this is the biggest game yet: “I think so. Because of the value of it and the guys that have bought into the idea of it, it does have more meaning because there’s something on the line … there is weight there and I think the league has done a good job of adding more value to these games.”

I am way too excited about this #Bucks vs #Pistons NBA Cup game tonight Pistons opened at +4 and are now down to +3 so that’s a good sign for Pistons fans

#Bucks v. #Pistons winner advances to knockout/quarterfinal round. Even the Milwaukee players know this one is big for Detroit.

Tonight’s starting lineups for Pistons versus Bucks. Cade Cunningham, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Taurean Prince are all available. The last time the Pistons played a game with this level of stakes? 2019 against….who else but the Bucks?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A DETROIT LEGEND LINDSEY HUNTER 🐐 💯 Detroit Pistons - 2004 NBA Champion 🏆

JB on being 3-0 in the tourney: "This was important for us and our guys approached it that way. With the exception of the turnovers, I thought we did a good job of doing all the little things that help you win basketball games … they came out with a sense of urgency."

Beasley: "We just wanted to control ourselves tonight, make sure we got our defense back. That just took it to a whole nother level … the way we had fun tonight, sharing the ball and having each other’s backs can take us a long way."

It was the most complete game this Pistons team had played all season. Detroit moves to 9-12 but sits at 3-0 in group play. Are they headed to Vegas to compete for the NCA cup? My recap on tonight’s #Pistons at #Pacers game 🔽 www.detroitbadboys.com/2024/11/29/2...

Detroit is full-court pressing up 25 bro what is this hahahaha

Man, what a win for this young Pistons group. And to add to the point differential the way they did, too. Tuesday night at LCA will be an incredible atmosphere. WE WANT THE CUP

Having the Detroit Pistons run up the score on you in your gym has to be a horrible feeling for the Pacers. Yikes.

Malik Beasley to Cade: “We goin’ to Vegas, ain’t we? One game at a time.” Such a good vet

Pistons are 9-12 at the season's quarter pole. Their 9th win last season came on Feb. 27 in the season's 58th game.

FINAL: Pistons 130, Pacers 104. Cade (24 points, 11 assists) and Tobias (16 points) returned and helped them improve to 9-12 overall and 3-0 in NBA Cup play. Big win after falling flat in Memphis on Wednesday. Beasley: 25 points Ivey: 23 points, 6 assists Duren: 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks

Pistons with a 10-0 run out of the timeout and that prompts a Pacers timeout

Pistons have scored 10 in a row and are up 21-16. Cade (8 points) and Harris (5 points) doing a lot of good stuff on offense early

Ausar Thompson checks in and instantly gets his first assist with a dime to Isaiah Stewart leading to an Indiana timeout Pistons can solve their bench playmaking problem if Ausar is able to handle secondary creation duties - and I think he's ready, for sure
