It smells like rain. A fog’s rolling in off the ocean but it hasn’t started to climb the hill yet, so if I look down the world is enveloped in mist. The lilac bush under my window is just starting to bloom, and I can smell the flowers when I lay in bed. spring is the time to breathe in the world.
