B'day girl, Majel Barrett Roddenberry played 4 pivotal roles in Trekdom. She voiced Enterprise's computer & she was Number One, then Nurse Chapel, & finished as effervescent Lwaxana Troi. Here is Marvel Paramount Comics ST: Deep Space Nine #10 featuring Lwaxana Troi. It's easy to hear Majel's voice.

"AI" is, purely, a marketing term and a (poor) umbrella phrase for a number of different types of computerized statistical analysis, iteration and synthesis. If something is being touted as "AI" to me, it's because someone wants me to buy it, and also I probably don't need it.
