I only feel comfortable doing this on a per server basis because it’s usually for the purposes of verifying the user legitimately has access to Adult/NSFW areas and so minors don’t engage in those areas.

This is par for the course for anyone working federal government IT/Cybersecurity atm. There’s always politics and stuff stuck in limbo, but 90% of the time it’s not ill intent. It’s people making sure they’re complying with laws and regulations. I guess that’s “deep state” to DOGE.
