Drop someone GLAMOROUS 🌹 ❤️ 🌟 🤌🏼

This week for @comicsxf.com, I wrote about Emma Frost, the scourge of generic sexiness, and why we all deserve better. "The incongruity of this issue's story, interiors, and cover got me thinking too much about this cover’s place in history." #XSpoilers #XMen comicsxf.com/2025/06/18/e...

Do you miss Greg Horn covers?

I’ve heard of Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen…. But Shelfdust’s COLUMN, Jimmy Olsen?? It’s true!!

Adam Reck ponders the plotholes and continuity conundrums in the new line of Giant-Size X-Men anniversary issues.

Time to check out what you checked out this week at CXF, starting with @stealthisplanet.bsky.social & @brawl2099.bsky.social's review of IMPERIAL #1 comicsxf.com/2025/06/08/i...

Because you can’t have too much of a good thing… What is your personal Mount Rushmore of X-Men single issues?

What is your personal Mount Rushmore of X-Men single issues?

This Trump / Musk thing is like Annihilus and Thanos in Annihilation if you know what I mean

Review of Imperial #1 here - an issue that gets me excited about the prospect of “Planet She-Hulk” while acting like QuillNova never even existed

@stealthisplanet.bsky.social & @brawl2099.bsky.social see if Hickman & co.'s Imperial #1 is worth the hype comicsxf.com/2025/06/04/i...

Imperial as a story engine? Extremely exciting. As an individual story? Little more mixed so far. Review on @comicsxf.com alongside @brawl2099.bsky.social ⬇️ comicsxf.com/2025/06/04/i...

Giant-Size X-Men #1 (2025) is so giant-size, it took 4 CXF staffers - @annapeppard.bsky.social @adamreck.bsky.social @austingorton.bsky.social & @danielpgrote.bsky.social - to cover it comicsxf.com/2025/05/30/g...

Another week, another deeply resonant @denizcamp.bsky.social issue

The real star of this issue is @beccasee.bsky.social’s “chk, chk, chk”! But I’m loving having @cleanlined.bsky.social back for more absolute!

I talked Absolute DC for @comicsxf.com this week alongside @thatcatpurcell.bsky.social, including a deeply resonant Martian Manhunter story, fantastic villains in Wonder Woman and how Flash proves that space monkeys really are the cure for anxiety. comicsxf.com/2025/05/28/a...

@stealthisplanet.bsky.social & @thatcatpurcell.bsky.social round up the latest DC Absolute books, including Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and Flash comicsxf.com/2025/05/28/a...

The Martian Manhunter review was a deeply personal one for me. Definitely didn’t expect to be writing about the great modern shame of my home county and apply it to a comic book this week but here we are.

I wrote this preview as bait for @stealthisplanet.bsky.social.

One fun element of elseworld stories is the conclusions you can draw based on the counterfactuals of mainline continuity. For example, I can conclude that the capacity for evil was within Absolute Hal Jordan all along based on the fact his prime earth counterpart is a conservative.

ICYMI: my roundup of May’s Absolute DC comics so far. The theme this time: villains. The Brainiac rags to riches story was a great classic villain origin, but evil emo-possessed-by alien Hal Jordan is also really up my street. comicsxf.com/2025/05/14/a...

Three comic reviews for the price of one here!

@stealthisplanet.bsky.social rounds up Absolute Green Lantern, Superman and Batman comicsxf.com/2025/05/14/a... What's your fave Abs book so far?

This week Dani fights death, fights for death, and takes a very strange detour through whatever Claremont thinks are his greatest hits. Moonstar fans won't want to miss this one!

The art overall is next level through Absolute DC. The two standout aesthetics for me so far though: the mind bending fluidity of MM and the kinetic precision of Flash. They couldn’t be any more different from one another, but both are absolutely stunning.

The CXFamily went through the old Marvel Swimsuit Specials and picked out some of their favorite pinups comicsxf.com/2025/04/30/m...

What were your favourite Absolute DC issues from the last month? I wrote about a strong top 3 for @comicsxf.com this week: 🖖🏻 comicsxf.com/2025/04/28/a...

“Sociotoxicity”, the frenzied anxiety of extremely online teenagers, and why size really does matter to fictional ancient deities. All of this, and more, in my first Absolute DC roundup!

@stealthisplanet.bsky.social rounds up the latest Absolute books with reviews of Absolute Martian Manhunter, Flash and Wonder Woman comicsxf.com/2025/04/28/a...

“This series is confronting and uncomfortable at times, but Assorted Crisis Events is always compelling, moving and essential.” Love reading, writing and thinking about this comic. My review for @comicsxf.com ⬇️ comicsxf.com/2025/04/23/a...

#xspoilers Dani Moonstar doing cool shit in comics again klaxon 🚨 🚨 🚨

Absolute pleasure writing about and luxuriating in Assorted Crisis Events again this week. This comic deserves nothing less than the deep dive treatment.

Possibly the most important comic out this week? Check out @stealthisplanet.bsky.social's review of @imagecomics.com' Assorted Crisis Events #2 by @denizcamp.bsky.social & @ericxyz.bsky.social comicsxf.com/2025/04/23/a...

Did a deep dive on Ultimate Wolverine for @comicsxf.bsky.social this week. The piece breaks down the allusions to the OG Weapon X, the metaphor of the wolf vs bear, and why this is the best X-book out atm. comicsxf.com/2025/04/16/u...

An excellent review of ULTIMATE WOLVERINE 4 and a deep dive into its influences.

I used the phrase “Intertextuality, baby” in this review and it made me feel like Austin Powers.

@stealthisplanet.bsky.social writes about the Weapon X homage in Ultimate Wolverine #4 comicsxf.com/2025/04/16/u...

Well, well, well, look who’s coming back to the mutant sex cult island looking for new stories
