Some great tips for new creators getting set up for their first con from @steamrollerman.bsky.social! I am absolutely second that credit card machine and banner are the two best investments we made. Also, highly recommend bringing your son with you to critique your sale pitch.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

One weird thing about working on every episode of The Simpsons is reading a script and getting excited, thinking "oh this one's gonna be great, fans are going to flip out" and then by the time the episode premieres (about 10 months later) thinking "wait, which one was that, again?"

Just watched the Star Trek Section 31 movie. Worst of any Star Trek I've ever seen (I've seen them all). Terrible script, direction, editing... Not true to established ideas of Section 31, Mirror Universe or Georgiou from prior material. Seemed like the makers had never even watched Star Trek.

Bluey has become a bit of a meme due to how the voice actors say the word "no" - "NAUR"... it just occurred to me that the show is set in Brisbane, but that particular type of Aussie accent is more of a Melbourne sound. At least, I've always thought of it that way.
