Small acts of resistance: Ended my audible membership (has it since 2008 way before amazon bought it & own 600 books). Switched to audiobooks.com which is a swedish company. Don’t see limitations in terms of availability of books.

We’re at the last minute study section cancellations again. I do wonder if so called DOGE is aware of the cost of having 30-40 reviewers spend 40-80h on grant reviews each for nothing= ~$150k per cancelled study section as per my back of the envelope calculation. Doesn’t seem very efficient to me.

It is not lost on me that during the Holocaust, more than 250,000 disabled individuals were murdered. Our current government wants to do away with DEI in part so they can dictate who is valuable or worthy of resources. At some point, we could all make it onto the list of "undesirables".
