I think I'm finally ready to leave Gmail / Gcal behind. What are the cool kids using these days?

Psst... 🤫 If you don't know I publish weekly Playwright and end-to-end testing tips over on YouTube and a new short just went live. 👇 www.youtube.com/shorts/LSd1_...

webweekly.email passed another new 100 readers and is now at 5.8k subscribers. 🎉 🥂 I keep saying it, but it slowly starts to feel like a "real" newsletter. 🏃💨 Off to 6k!

I'm working on a new blog post about things (read best practices) too few web devs care about. I've a full list already but could use some more. Ideas?

On thing I particularly dislike about web development is how so often, the fast or efficient way of doing things requires arcane knowledge of implementation details. For example, the topic of this article (through @stefanjudis.com's Web Weekly newsletter) claritydev.net/blog/faster-...

The new Web Weekly edition is just about to hit all the inboxes. 💪 If you want to stay up to date with web development and the web platform, you should check it out! It's, as always, full of cutting-edge but also general web best practices. 🫣 www.stefanjudis.com/blog/web-wee...

As someone who used to maintain a somewhat successful open source project and has been burned pretty badly by people using, I can more than relate to this take explaining what open source isn't. Open source does not mean... 👇 vale.rocks/posts/open-s...

And it's time again. 🫣 I'm just about to sit down to write this week's Web Weekly newsletter. If you care about the web platform (you know HTML, CSS and JS), you should check it out. 👇 webweekly.email

If you're working on a reasonably large JS app fighting circular dependencies, I just discovered "madge". It's a tool to analyze and detect all these circles. I wish I had known about this earlier... 😅 github.com/pahen/madge

👏 The yearly WebAIM Million accessibility report is out... ...and, without surprise, it's not looking great. The web is in terrible shape. 😢 95% of the analyzed pages include detectable accessibility issues.

Real talk: am I the only one who discovered the `flex-flow` shorthand after using flexbox for a decade? 😅 🫣

Aaaaand it's time again. 🫣 Tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday) the next Web Weekly newsletter edition will go out. If you're into web dev news close to the platform (you know HTML, CSS, JS...) you should check it out. 👇 webweekly.email

So! Is anyone up for participating in CSS Naked Day on April 9? I haven't participated yet but it seems like a good exercise to check the HTML for a day? :D css-naked-day.github.io

I'm a bit late, but hey... 🤷 The new Web Weekly is just about to hit all these inboxes. If you want to stay up to date with web development and the web platform, you should check it out! 👇 www.stefanjudis.com/blog/web-wee...
