Laid off from my job in Tech. It's a shame that we live in this kind of world where we are so unimaginitive and hateful that we cannot employ people in our own country. In Europe, they protect people with unions and care for them. Here, we just throw everyone on the street.

Executives in the USA are so cowardly, and spineless. "I make $450k a year... but since I made some bad decisions, you'll have to starve... Sorry!" This is the world we live in today. #tech

"merit-based hiring" has to be the dumbest concept ever. Hiring has always been merit-based, they pick the person they think is the best candidate. But now, they can legally discriminate against people. How is that a good thing?

😂😂😂 👇👇👇 Serves them right, doesn’t it?!

This is my life as a data engineer lol

Union Square rally.

Good morning

silicon valley is going to destroy america

This is how terrifying viruses are: Measles stays in the air and on surfaces for up to two hours after a sick person leaves a room. It can spread before someone knows they are sick. People can spread it for about eight days − four days before a rash even appears

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

A loaf of bread is now $5

I'm amazed how much Publix can raise their prices and still peddle their bullshit. $5 for half a loaf of bread, $11 for a sub now with stale tasting bread, $6 for a bag of chips, $15 a pound for meat. It's not inflation it's corporate greed

Some people are so miserable The only thing they can possibly think of is how to make other people's lives worse. What other people are doing, what other people look like, and who is allowed to live in "their country".

You can gauge the health of a society by how it treats its most vulnerable members. Here in the USA, homelessness is skyrocketing, and a billionaire who isn't even a citizen is calling elderly and disabled people the parasite class. It has never been this bad

This is not a normal person 👇

I grew up in the state of Florida, where most people don't care about any social issues, are extremely ignorant, racist, everything phobic. I can't even imagine how much worse it's gotten since I left

It's sad seeing things like this and knowing how true they are. It has impacted every aspect of our society. The most vulnerable are paying the price for corporate greed

Thousands of years, and we really haven't gotten that far as a society

It's amazing how technological innovation has slowed to a crawl in the USA. We've achieved almost nothing in 10 years now.

You can't tell me with a straight face that we are living in a civilized society here in the USA. "Women" and "female" are banned words now in academia. Talking about women is completely prohibited.

It's 2025, and we still haven't figured out how to treat other people with respect and compassion

Hi everyone 👋 American Medical Association here! We're committed to promoting the art and science of medicine, and the betterment of public health. We'll be posting about public health news you need to know, our advocacy work on things like prior authorization and Medicare payment, and more.

This is me. I am capybara 😄

Whether you care about politics or not, one thing should be immediately obvious to you this year. There are no checks and balances. They don't exist, or not being followed.

Tbh I haven't watched football in at least 5 years. Not since the way Colin Kaepernick was treated for standing up for what he believes in. That whole sport is completely corrupt, and some of the ads are pretty bad too

We're going to start seeing a lot of businesses going bankrupt over the next decade. It's already started, and there's no stopping it. Party City went bankrupt, soon GameStop will follow. Big lots went bankrupt. People can barely afford to shop anymore

You ever miss those days being a kid running around without a care in the world, just enjoying life with childlike wonder?

Despite the many flaws of liberal democracy, people are going to miss it when it’s gone.

Here in the USA, we don't support welfare! Work hard instead! But you won't be paid a living wage, And you'll need about three of those jobs. And everything will cost 3 to 4 times as much as it does in another country. Sounds fun right?

This is the worst year in the USA I have ever seen for jobs. We're seeing literal genocide against the working class
