Very sad to hear of the death of Rick Buckler, drummer with The Jam. Saw them live twice in 1982 and was blown away by their power and talent. Thank you Rick for being the soundtrack to my youth.

More than a bit of snobbery on here. Demonisation of those who struggle with spellings -dyslexia - and equating wrong spellings with lack of intelligence, evil and the LEAVE vote winning. This argument falls down when you consider Nigel Farage and his posh schooling.

It’s the time of year for mentioning one of my favourite ‘untranslatables’. ‘Poronkusema’, in Finnish, once denoted a distance of around 7.5km, which is roughly how long a reindeer can last before needing to urinate. ‘Poronkusema’ means ‘reindeer pee’.
