In a shortened meeting on Tuesday, the Metro Council continued its debate about the use of Fusus, a police surveillance technology, and kicked off discussion about folding the Metro Historic Zoning Commission and the Metro Historical Commission under the authority of the Metro Planning Commission.

It’s been nearly a month since a student opened fire at Antioch High School. Since then, there have been rallies, volunteer drives and efforts to increase security in MNPS high schools. The Banner spoke to students who say these efforts are still not enough to make them feel safe again.
