Since a lot of countries won’t trust the renminbi because of fear of manipulation by the Chinese government, I expect that the Chinese, the EU, and a good part of the rest of the world will switch to the euro as the basic reserve currency. Which will fuck over the U.S. in ways we don’t yet know.
