Another amazing publication by the @mmhansmann.bsky.social group in @science.org. Ph2SCN2 introduces a single sp3 carbon into molecules to form up to 4 C–C σ-bonds in one step without using transition metal catalysis giving exciting, highly 3-dimensional structures. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Happy to announce on my first bsky post that today our manuscript “The endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol is released and transported on demand via extracellular microvesicles” has been published in its final form in PNAS n/1

I’m happy to share that my PhD work is now out on #biorxiv. We propose an ‘on-demand release’ model for the release of the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol in extravellular vesicles (EVs) #lipidtime #neuroskyence #biosky 🔗 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... 1/5

The academic sector features a highly international environment. The "Wet internationalisering in Balans" aims to reduce the number of international students and increase the use of Dutch in the academic system. Find our position paper on this topic here: ap-net.nl/position-pap...

For all the new chemists coming over here to where the sky is blue🤗, we have created a starter pack with professors and labs to follow in chemistry.⚗️ We will soon add a starter pack with non-professoral chemists. Stay tuned - or if you can't wait take a look at our following list 😉

You can find several personal statements, why the name of the @gdch.bsky.social should be changed to "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chemie", here: en.gdch.de/gdch/about-u...

We had a great dinner with a lot of interesting discussions with @rentmeisterlab.bsky.social after her @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture. It was great that @kimmb1.bsky.social, @sebastianpomplun.bsky.social, @martola.bsky.social, Nathaniel Martin and Sander van Kasteren all joined the dinner!

It was great to visit @led3hub.bsky.social and discuss science with great & wonderful colleagues like @stephanhacker2.bsky.social @kimmb1.bsky.social @sebastianpomplun.bsky.social and more. Thank you for this day 🙏🤩

We are very happy that Andrea Rentmeister (@rentmeisterlab.bsky.social) visited us today for a @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture, chaired by Kim Bonger (@kimmb1.bsky.social). She talked about "Harnessing methylation: Chemical and metabolic tools for analyzing and regulating mRNA".

Understanding modifications of mRNA and controling their transcriptional activity can be key to better understanding biological systems. In her @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture, @rentmeisterlab.bsky.social gave an exciting overview of her group's research in this field. (1/4)

Being a young parent in academia can be rough. In the latest column of the Tilburg Young Academy in Univers, Myrthe Faber describes these challenges spot on. universonline.nl/nieuws/2025/... @universmagazine.bsky.social #academicsky

Very excited for the program that we are starting to put together for the 2025/2026 @led3hub.bsky.social Lectures!

We had a great planning meeting for the LED3 year with Anne Wentink, @kimmb1.bsky.social, Nathaniel Martin, @sebastianpomplun.bsky.social and @stephanhacker2.bsky.social. Another amazing program of LED3 Lectures for 2025/2026! Save the date for our PhD Symposium on June 19, 2025. #chemsky #ChemBio

Very excited to be back to teaching my "Antibiotics: Synthesis, Mechanisms of Action and Resistance (ASMAR)" course in our Master's programs of Chemistry and Life Science & Technology. Looking forward to discussing the various aspects of the field and especially to hearing the student presentations.

If you are member of @gdch.bsky.social, you should have gotten an e-mail that you can vote on the change of the name of GDCh to "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chemie". If you have, I encourage you to make use of your vote!

Hello, Bluesky! ☀️ We fund frontier research in Europe—bold ideas, unexpected discoveries and science that shapes the future. So it’s only fitting we’ve landed here. Sorry for being late. Follow us for updates on ERC funding, research policy, and our grantees' discoveries.

A great conclusion to the #LED3LUCID Symposium with an insightful talk by Meta Roestenberg of the LUMC. She talked about her group's research on a molecular design of next generation vaccines against malaria using attenuated parasites. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Great talk by Alan Hennessy of GARDP at the #LED3LUCID Symposium. He talked about the importance of the discovery and development of novel classes of antibiotics. Great to see their efforts in early drug discovery, where they try to find new compounds active against resistant Gram-negatives.
