Be a shark in a sea of stars! ✨ #pottery

Hey UK friends, do you have any recommendations of your favourite decaf teas? Horrifyingly, my body is now insisting that I ONLY drink decaf in the afternoons, so I'm on the hunt... Anything that doesn't involve orange or pineapple would be great to hear about!

if you can: write the thing that sounds SUPER FUN in your head. because it will sound SUPER FUN on the paper. readers can tell if the writer had fun writing something, for the most part, cause the love of the craft and characters and everything shows through. no idea is too silly. write it anyway.

I started this yesterday when my brain was sore and I adored every word so much!!! I have long loved Stephanie’s romantasy work and I’m so so so glad more people are discovering her. Please go read her books!!!!

The trouble is, once I started imagining they were taking selfies I couldn’t unsee it

Grab your copy here: stephanieburgis.com/books/wooing-the-witch-queen In this snippet, non-magical Felix - in disguise - has just been mistaken for a dark wizard & hired to be Queen Saskia's new librarian of magic. A trip to town with my tween meant a yummy lunch out (poached eggs with spinach and mushrooms for me) AND a stop at my local bookstore to pick up my reserved copy of @lollardfish.bsky.social and Matthew Gabriele's Oathbreakers, which I've been wanting to read for ages. Here's to sunny Saturdays!

I mean, I'd LIKE to be option 2, but I'm pretty sure option 1 is more accurate. ;)

Have I yelled at y'all today about how much I enjoyed this book? No? Well, consider this you being told to scurry to your local bookshop posthaste to buy this book.

Station break: time to pay the bills. If you would like a science fiction narrative set in a hopeful far-future aftermath to tech bros and religious nuts taking off for space and leaving a blasted Earth behind to pick up the pieces, may I recommend my Jacob's Ladder and White Space books?

I’ve got a new book coming out Tuesday and you should order it! My last book won the AAAS/Subaru Award for excellence in science books and was an answer on JEOPARDY!, so I feel pretty confident you’re going to love the new stories in When the Earth Was Green. 🌱 🧪

Just finished reading this in one sitting. Another lovely and fun story from @stephanieburgis.bsky.social. Love her MCs and the fun spin on British history in this one. She’s always a delight to read. Looking forward to getting Wooing the Witch Queen in the mail soon.
