the DOJ is literally **arresting Democratic members of Congress** and Senate Democrats are voting to pass Republican legislation

You know you’re winning when you post “We are NOT the Gestapo!”

500K Mexican-Americans served in the U.S. armed forces in WWII, as did millions of 1st and 2nd-gen immigrants, and 109K noncitizens. Mexican immigrant Macario Garcia won the Medal of Honor in Normandy. When he returned to the US, he was was arrested for trying to eat at a segregated restaurant.

🔥 DAMN! — @benniegthompson to @kristinoem: “I’m glad you found time among your many photo ops and costume changes to testify.”

Qatar preparing Trump's new "free" plane.

In 2024, Biden signed into law a $105 billion measure designed to end a shortfall in air traffic controllers. In 2025, Trump came in and instead began firing hundreds of them. So you can see how *clear* it is that Biden is to blame for the shortage now.

Remember that several people asked Pam Bondi during confirmation SPECIFICALLY what she would do on matters pertaining to Qatar (which she did not disclose) or GEO (pertinent to the Baraka arrest). She said she'd consult top career lawyer at DOJ abt recusal. Then she fired that lawyer.

It’s okay to not be okay. 1 in 5 adults in the United States experiences mental health challenges and during Mental Health Awareness Month, we recommit ourselves to ending the stigma and choosing hope.

The GOP wanted to impeach Biden for a fake $5M bribe from Ukraine that was made up by a guy sitting in prison for lying about it, but they’re cool with a $400M plane from Qatar. Do I have that right?

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: “no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

Walz: When did government get to tell you how many dolls your child has? Government just big enough to fit in your bedroom, your womb, and apparently now in your toy chest.

The Knicks are 2-0 in the playoffs against the Celtics since Tracy Morgan puked on the court at MSG

“I think this says that they will not tolerate us being active participants in our democracy—they want an autocracy,” Emily Feiner told Mother Jones. Meet the 64-year-old retired social worker who went viral after being forcibly removed from her representative's town hall.

Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education, sent Harvard a letter. They graded it. Bwahahaha.

Nothing says teacher appreciation like gutting the Department of Education and firing half of the people that make the agency run.

Well, I had an interesting Sunday night, how 'bout you?

If I was a person involved in exiling a two year old child with cancer to another country I would simply walk into the ocean and never return

A headline from Hell. @nytimes.com www.nytimes.com/live/2025/04...

We need the best educated workforce in the world. We need the best teachers in the world. We need to pay our teachers fairly for the important work they do. No teacher in America should begin at less than $60,000 a year.

This should be the top story in Axios’s morning read. But it isn’t. It’s the FIFTH top story. @axios.com www.axios.com/2025/04/23/t...

Jan Schakowsky, the incumbent in my race, will reportedly not seek re-election. So it seems like a good time to reintroduce myself — I’m Kat Abughazaleh and I’m running for Congress.

Remember the 6 men who forcibly removed Dr. Teresa Borrenphol from the Coeur d'Alene town hall? They’ve been arrested and charged! www.kivitv.com/news/six-men...

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

Head Start, an early childhood education program for low income families, is on the chopping block. Growing up, my own mom was an aide with the program; it’s helped countless young mothers, including the one who tells her story here. www.kqed.org/news/1203596...

Trump then: I'll end that war in 24 hours Trump now: Never mind, we give up

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison. It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

My name is Ben and I have autism. I’m not less than anyone else I just see the world differently. Lately I’ve been working on losing weight by walking. I walked 5 miles yesterday. It’s also helps with my confidence and I can enjoy the outdoors and the scenery.

Van Hollen: "As the federal courts have said, we need to bring Mr. Abrego Garcia home to protect his constitutional rights to due process...If you deny the constitutional rights of one man, you threaten the constitutional rights and due process for everyone else in America."

I won’t share RFK Jr.’s lies about autism. It’s disgusting and dangerous. If he had a shred of decency, he would apologize and resign. Autistic people contribute every day to our nation’s greatness. To every kid with autism, I’m in this fight all the way for you.

Speaking now from El Salvador, Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) says he was denied access to Kilmar Abrego Garcia by El Salvador leaders. And was denied a phone call to him Van Hollen: "The Trump Administration is lying about Abrego Garcia"

Breaking news: Judge James E. Boasberg on Wednesday said he would launch proceedings to determine whether to hold Trump administration officials in criminal contempt for defying his order not to remove Venezuelan migrants from the country.

Steve Kerr wore a Harvard basketball shirt after the Warriors’ win tonight: “Yes, this is me supporting Harvard. Way to go. Way to stand up to the bully.”

They spent the last four years telling us people who invaded the capital and beat police officers with flagpoles were unjustly persecuted civil rights heroes and now it’s taken about 45 minutes for them to be like “yeah if you write an op-ed you’re going to the blacksite that’s just common sense”

Swan to Leavitt: "The president has long said that it would be an abuse of power for a president to direct prosecutors to investigate him. Last week, President Trump explicitly directed the DOJ to scrutinize Chris Krebs ... how is that not an abuse of power?" (Note that Leavitt has no response.)
