I'm semi-serious when I say I think it would be a good idea for the #Canucks to pursue BOTH Schenn brothers. If anyone is going to fix the off-ice issues...

The Kevin Lankinen contract is a good deal by any measure, and potentially a great one for the Canucks

Is there a path forward where the Canucks keep both Kevin Lankinen and Thatcher Demko?

I wonder if Elias Pettersson injured himself attempting to throw that big check against Mikko Rantanen. Kinda sent himself flying there, and slowed down considerably thereafter. #Canucks

There is simply no equivalent to the sheer life-or-death excitement of playoff overtime.

JT Miller thinks and says a lot of dumb things, but suggesting that Trump needed to take time out of his busy schedule to make this call is up there as the dumbest. My guy, spouting off about subjects he knows less than nothing about IS Trump's schedule.

Anyone else in BC just feel an earthquake? Felt it pretty strongly up here in Prince George.

Terrific writeup(s) from @dave-hall.bsky.social on this series, and now especially on Kirill Kudryavtsev. Quite a rise for a prospect drafted in the seventh round less than three years ago! I was a little skeptical when I saw the ranking, but Dave really sold me on this. #Canucks

I won't lament the death of American democracy or the rise of its fascism too much, because the democracy has been dead a while (if it ever lived) and America's been a fascist presence in the world for decades. But them dropping the pretense this loudly is still terrifying and consequential for all.

In case there were any concerns that USA hockey players and management were inadvertent victims of political blowback… Canadians need to boo the fuck out of the US anthem for the foreseeable future. Like, make it so persistent and awkward they stop doing the anthem before games.

I just screamed in triumph at a Connor McDavid goal...

Okay, I'll say it: I thoroughly enjoy watching JT Miller get punched in the head.

My views on anthem booing are complex, in that I both support booing the anthems AND booing the Nickelback intro montage.

Ooh, I really like seeing Elias Pettersson take a big run at Rantanen after taking a shot from behind earlier in the shift. #Canucks #4Nations

All nationalism stinks, but I particularly despise these "Canada OWNS hockey!" types of ads like Rogers is airing right now. Wouldn't "We shared hockey with the world" not be a better sentiment, especially given the times?

Why are they booing the Swedes?!

I'm hearing there's a bit of a holdup on this as Loui accidentally filed the paperwork into his own mailbox.

Always a #Canucks series I look forward to.

It's one game. But I am here to tell you the post-game scene in the Canucks' room was a whole new vibe. Winning helps a lot. So does changing the culture of the room. For months, the room had been nothing but tension. You could feel it. That tension appears gone. theprovince.com/sports/hocke...

Did the Canucks make the right call trading the Rangers pick instead of their own?

looking for questions for @canucksarmy.bsky.social Monday mailbag. League focus will be on 4 Nations, but we’ll still be talking #Canucks. Let us know what’s on your mind 📭

In other news, can confirm that it's an oblique injury ailing #Canucks captain Quinn Hughes.

Carson Soucy as 3RHD instead of Juulsen is absolutely the right call. Pop Hughes into Forbort's spot and this is my optimal six for the #Canucks.

The argument for and against the Canucks extending Marcus Pettersson ASAP

Took a shot at my first analysis of the most recent #Canucks trades and the most immediately relevant question: Are the Canucks a better or worse team in the immediate aftermath of these changes?

When I look at the available market of who the #Canucks might target in their next trade, Brock Nelson's name stands out.

One thing I have always admired about Marcus Pettersson is that he's essentially just a big lanky guy, and yet he's willing to throw down with heavyweights like Deslauriers, Gadjovich, and Wilson, the baddest of the bad. Sure, he takes a pummeling every time, but that doesn't stop him. #Canucks

No inside info here, but the way in which the Canucks seem so sincere about their fondness for Miller, and yet also seemed resigned to this "having to happen," leads me to think JT had more of a stated desire to leave than was made public.

The ol' first-for-UFA trade is never popular, but there are a lot of layers to this one for the Canucks. Wonder if we hear something about a Marcus Pettersson extension anytime soon?
