This is a really great idea. There's a lot of punching down at furries, and I'm glad to see @skiffyandfanty.com providing an opportunity for people to learn more about a community that's too often been misunderstood and unfairly mocked.

Tonight we're back for MORE PSYCHIC CAT SECRET AGENT SHENANIGANS. The proceedings have already devolved into utter chaos, so how much sillier can we get? Ha! Join us and see!

TW: SA/INCEST/ABUSE Normally I don't do this, but I got permission from @longlongbunny.bsky.social to help spread awareness of their situation. Please help them by sharing this Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/longlongbunny Evidence: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Canadians: Bummed you're not making it to Seattle this year for @seattlein2025.org? Join the remote party. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

There's an entire parenting-advice-industrial complex that exists to convince new parents that if a pregnancy or a baby's first two years don't hit every milestone like clockwork, something is TERRIBLY WRONG. It causes tremendous anxiety and reassuring them wastes time and health care resources.

I wrote a thing!

Internet. Do the thing. Help Locus!

For Canadians unable to attend @seattlein2025.org, consider joining this online party: forms.gle/Xkchm5PDNDN6...

At work, while sending an email someone else wrote, I noted the words "If you are not able to attend..." I dislike over-formality in workplace emails, so I thought, "Needs a contraction. But... which one?" Would you use "If you're not able" or "If you aren't able"? And why? Is there a difference?

That was delightful! I hope that everyone who tuned in had as much fun following along as we did playing!

What kind of fallen world are we living in that Daniel Pinkwater has to go on social media to fish for a publisher?

"Nobody died on the widely publicized tour for minors at the mysterious candy factory. Christ, there were cameras absolutely everywhere. Can you imagine the circus they’d have made of our deaths?" By @megelison.bsky.social in @lightspeedmagazine.com www.lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/wher...

American journalists, classicist Mary Beard says, ask her all the time which Roman emperor Trump most reminds her of. “My gut feeling is that it’s actually an insult to most Roman emperors,” she said.

On some level, I absolutely still think that the natural and correct way to refer to our monarch is as "the Queen" and having a "King" sounds wrong and a bit ridiculous.
