Intersectional, multi-front coalitions mean trusting that even if other the people in the coalition aren't working on Your Segment of the problems, they're still on your side. Happy Constitution Day! I had a lovely encounter with a HS history teacher the other day, which began when he came up and said, "Has anybody ever told you, you look a lot like Peter Sagal?" I had to tell him the truth: no, because, well, I am. He still uses "Constitution USA" to teach civics.

Whenever there is major official political process going on that I want to be informed about -- like a national convention -- I turn on CSPAN and directly watch as much of it as I can. No filters. No pundits. Just complete (free!) coverage of what the players are actually saying/doing on the record.

One of my sappiest things is how much I love that the Dot of the "i" in "Jeremy Bearimy" goes from being the thing that literally breaks Chidi down into a fugue of existential horror, to being the thing he'd live in forever, as long as it's with Eleanor.

for me, my skepticism of ai largely boils down to one point i have made about humans in the past: i don’t trust someone who has an answer for everything. people who never say “i don’t know” are not smart people.
