This is probably a good time to remind everyone about the great work @saintjavelin.bsky.social is doing to support Ukraine. I know today is supposed to be an economic blackout, but make an exception for this organization.

This is the way. Bold action will be required.

This is what makes America great. A Chinese-American, born a citizen to immigrant parents thanks to the 14th amendment, inspired to fight for a country that saw him as second class at best. His remains finally found thanks to a dedication to find every missing soldier, no matter how long ago.

George Carlin’s bit on Rights seems fairly apt these days.

Article 1 establishes Congress. This was a deliberate decision. It’s the first among equals of the branches.

The GoP needs to ask itself if it will be comfortable with a future Dem POTUS unilaterally axing ethanol subsidies, oil & gas subsidies, and other payments they care about. Because that’s the precedent being set right now.

This is the kind of “benefit of the doubt” take that Elon doesn’t deserve anymore. If you make antisemitic comments in public and make gestures like this…you’re going to get called a Nazi. Deservedly so. The question is whether there will ever be meaningful consequences…

The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept cheering and voting for the axe because its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Wish we could revive FDR and sic him on these pathetic whiners.

As usual, Robert Kagan writes the single best analysis of the Russo-Ukraine war, Trump, and the future of American power. Can’t recommend this piece enough. A must read.

Syria is an important reminder that Russia is never as strong as she appears, or as weak as she seems.

We don't need more remakes of old movies. We need more MUPPETS remakes of old movies.

First JetBlue A220 flight out of DCA? Was wondering when we’d see these given they said the DCA-BOS route was going to be a key one for the baby Airbus. That was years ago and only now are we seeing any signs of a changeover as the E190s near retirement.

Just finished Freedom’s Forge and reading Arsenal of Democracy now. Looking for recommendations on other books about the defense industrial base, particularly any covering the pre-WWI arsenal system.

So sick of navigating shady third party sellers and random consonant brands on Amazon. Feels like there’s a huge opportunity out there for a fast, affordable online marketplace that only sells reputable products and is inherently trustworthy rather than passing that diligence work on to customers.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #3,262,605!
