Still recovering from finding out Willem Dafoe is 5'7".

Who wore it better?

I know awards shows suck, but they exist, so, therefore, I'll comment on them. I'm about 2/3 of the way into "Emilia Perez," and it's not better than Wicked or The Substance. It would also have been better without the music, although its trans representation would still be dated.

Did I miss any? 🎄🦞 boxd.it/BEesM

I mean, now they have Robert Frank’s “Candy Mountain”!

This picture is equal parts hilarious and frightening.

Today's accidental double feature: 3/4 of the main cast of "Halt and Catch Fire" in "Speak No Evil" and "The Fall." Sorry Kerry Bishé, not today!

@legialerts.org is an extremely important account to follow if you care at all about rights in The US. While its account name suggests a focus on LGBTQ+ rights, it covers a lot more, too.

I recently watched Alice Maio Mackay’s “Carnage for Christmas” (big fan of Jeremy Moineau) and “The People’s Joker” by @veradrew22.bsky.social. Both are low budget films by filmmakers who are trans and show you can tell an effective story if you’re passionate, creative, and resourceful!

Having an unintentional semi-related double feature… Cassavetes's "Opening Night" and "Smile 2." A celebrity witnesses a car accident, sees dead people, struggles with sobriety and mental illness, and preps for their opening night of their play/tour.

Lately, I've been watching John Cassavetes's films. So far, I've seen "A Woman Under the Influence," "Faces," "The Killing of Chinese Bookie," "Opening Night," and now "Husbands." (I saw "Shadows" back in college). Let me just say… I get it.

I have 100% stayed at this hostel more than once.

I looked at the MyPillow website yesterday because it was pointed out they're selling pillows for $14.88. I wanted to confirm they were actually doing this since 1488 is a Nazi-connected number (they were). I've received four of their emails to my work email in the last 24 hours without signing up!

There are some things I really liked stylistically about Apartment 7A. It did help to go back and look at Rosemary’s Baby. The thing I find confusing is why they went to the trouble of recreating so much, but missing the mark with things like clothing, hair, and makeup.
