😂 This is Alpha Male behavior? 😂

Samuel Alito does not deserved to be called a “justice.” Nothing he does has any relation to fair and equitable treatment of people, regardless of their class or standing. Call him what he is - a religious zealot intent on imposing theocratic rule.

Thoughts: Creating a registry for people with autism seems to smack right up against eugenics.

8.1 MILLION public sector workers lack OSHA coverage. Their injury and illness rate was 79% higher than private sector workers. Read our full Death on the Job report: aflcio.org/reports/dotj...

A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond. I hope you’ll read and share the piece. stanforddaily.com/2025/04/22/w...

The national attention on the Jacksons’ case two years ago put a spotlight on two systemic realities in the United States: the policing of Black families by child welfare systems and the disregard of midwifery expertise by many doctors.

"Kennedy’s disgust with and devaluation of autistic people fits neatly into a eugenic logic that views health as virtue, and sees illness, or difference, as a kind of moral lapse which should be subject to punishment or censure."

quick question: why was noem carrying $3,000 in cash? was she just out selling drugs or something?

This is a very, very complex and exceedingly thorough process that involves extensive use of the president’s TiVo remote, so please, please, everyone, give it time www.npr.org/2025/04/21/n...

Once again, I was left to wonder: was Pete Hegseth signal chatting military attack plans to everyone but me?? Am I the one that’s insecure, or is it his communication practices that are insecure?

A 19-year old U.S. citizen was traveling from Albuquerque to Tucson. He was arrested and detained by ICE for 10 days, before his family showed a judge his identification & he was finally released. news.azpm.org/p/news-artic...

I knew the U.S. higher education system was a massive draw for foreigners, but I did not know the U.S. sold more educational services to the rest of the world than it did natural gas and coal combined. Great piece by @crampell.bsky.social

Again, cancelling NSF & other federal competitive grants in higher education is massive contract breaking which undermines the most basic tenets of the rule of law & property rights in a democratic society.

“.. One U.S. diplomat described the draft to POLITICO as ‘bonkers crazypants.’ .. you could give infinite monkeys infinite typewriters, and they would come up with something better than that.” @politico.com #BonkersCrazypants 🤡 www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

This is an enormous theft—not just privatizing a government function with a worse and more expensive for-profit substitute, but also a massive government financial data heist—and on the other side of it everyone needs to end up broke and imprisoned to deter them and others from doing it again.

LISTEN UP So ...a lot of you will not go hungry as prices rise and food insecurity rears it's terrible head, and there's shortages. This is good. Be happy about it. But most of us have friends who will, and many of them will NOT TELL YOU ABOUT IT. We have terrible psychological issues both

Mohsen Mahdawi’s friends in the Upper Valley say he’s an extrovert who connected with people at Dirt Cowboy Cafe in Hanover and Dan & Whit’s in Norwich, at bonfires at his cabin, at seders and church services, and on hikes.

“Helping ensure our country is viewed as a force not to be reckoned with.”

the fundamental problem with these people (not jonathan) is that they don’t seem to believe in anything. if you’re willing to sacrifice one of the foundational rights of constitutional government on the altar of “buh this might not be popular” then what won’t you sacrifice?

Source at VA tells me an emergency data request went out demanding info any on relationships the 2nd largest Fed department and largest healthcare system in the US has with Harvard. We know there are significant research connections. This won't hurt Harvard. It will kill veterans. They don't care.

As a lawyer, I can tell you why Abrego Garcia must remain in El Salvador. If he were free, he could sue me for defamation and win. by Pam Bondi

There has been so much misinformation about Mr. Abrego Garcia that even people trying to defend him are saying he was here “illegally.” No. He has a legal order of protection.

With these posts, they’ve made it essentially inarguable that they’re deliberately defying the Supreme Court.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit. ICE officers. Cabinet members. White House staffers. Even the president.

Van Hollen: And it's also important that people understand this case is not just about one man. It's about protecting the constitutional rights of everybody who resides in the United States of America.

I don't know who needs to see this, but autistic people who are severely impaired by their autism and require round the clock care are human beings too. They are not diseased. They are simply existing. And they need and DESERVE our support and respect.

The SAVE Act won't improve elections, but it will suppress the vote. Congress must reject this anti-voter bill. Tell your senators today: bit.ly/4jevOO3

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

You saw the video of the ICE agent breaking a car window near the border, right? He wasn’t an ICE agent. He’s the founder of Veterans on Patrol, a FAR-RIGHT MILITIA patrolling the border for migrants. They’re basically deputizing militias to act as federal agents. This is dangerously out of control

The current spelling 'marijuana' appears to have been an English invention.

RFK Jr. says there are no autistic poets, so we interviewed one. Hear from Elizabeth McClellan, @popelizbet.bsky.social, an award-winning poet, attorney, and legal educator based in Memphis, Tennessee.

The President of the United States is utterly out of control and possibly out of his mind, and only the Supreme Court of the United States can deliver the absolutely vicious permanent slapdown this moment requires. If that does not happen, the options for Americans appear to dwindle precipitously.

i'm watching a group of conservative law professors insist that there is a grand debate over birthright citizenship that somehow escaped generations of scholarship and only popped into existence after a right-wing president announced an effort to nullify the 14th amendment.

Van Hollen: "If the president gets to shred the Constitution and ignore the Supreme Court in this case, it is a very short path to the president ignoring court orders in other cases. So every American should care about this."

12 Dem Senators and 48 Dem House members voted for the Laken Riley Act—allowing US Govt to deport immigrants on the mere accusation of a crime. As you see those 60 Dems complain about Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, or Kilmar Abrego Garcia, among many more—please know they enabled this fascism.

If you go on Google Maps and you hover over CECOT, this is what you see.

We knew exactly what this administration was going to do because it was written in Project 2025. Folks can be surprised at how quickly it has moved, but no one can act like they didn't know.

EXCLUSIVE: A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.

The top 1% evade $163 billion in taxes per year — enough to end homelessness, hunger, and pay for universal childcare. 👆🏻 This is the crime wave we should be talking more about.
