Anybody know if that red headed guy is still "Holding back the years"?

Here's something interesting. The original version of Down Under. A bit different youtu.be/D2lhmqKLais?...

@alexskolnick.bsky.social have you seen the movie "Freaky Tales"? It's set in Oakland in 1987 and has a lot of local references. I thought you would enjoy it.

I'm up at 2:15AM to head to the airport. Funk that.

That "Fountain of Youth" thing that's coming out on Apple looks very cheesy.

The other day someone asked me if I ever woke up with a frog in my throat. Then I started thinking about froggie from The Lil Rascals. I wonder if that phrase was inspired by his voice.

I don't really know what today is all about. '70s and '80s advertising has planted the seed in my mind of white rabbits delivering chocolate eggs. I guess we are supposed to eat some lamb as well?

At what percentage on your phone battery is it time to go home?

The moment y'all have been waiting for. Here's my action figure.

I see the signs all around. There's an obvious campaign by Big Pickle to infiltrate the restaurant industry. Here are some recent shots I took for evidence. I'm not falling for their Pickle industry agenda.. 🥒

Thanks technology gods for the scheduled message, inspirations tend to strike all at once, usually at off hours.

I'm headed to the Big Ears Festival on Thursday in Knoxville. I went for the first time last year, and had a great time. Some of the bands/musicians playing: #Tortoise, Explosions in the Sky, Les Claypool, Nels Cline, Taj Mahal. There are many others. Tickets still available on the used market

I recently found this Substack that posts in depth articles on funk music. They just did a really detailed post on Heatwave. I think the site deserves more attention than it's currently getting. There's more articles as well about Con-Funk-Shun, Chic and more. substack.com/@grooveofthe...

Back in the USA after 5 weeks in Mexico. What did I miss?

We needed some pool noodles for something we were doing in Mexico. Nobody at the store knew what we were looking for when we asked for pool noodles. We walked around the store for a bit and then finally found them. No wonder they never heard of them because they call them Los spaghetties!

Did you ever forget what you forgot yesterday? I know I forgot something, but today I cannot remember what I forgot yesterday.

Horses on the beach yesterday

This video is pretty interesting. These gentlemen have never seen a world globe before. Two excellent parts: 1. "How do the residents of the top not fall down to the bottom?" 2. "The ocean will destroy the world if he becomes enrage" youtu.be/ElAQ_3gG-7s?...

Get nostalgic with some old shows and music videos just like switching on your analog TV back in the day after school. 80s.myretrotvs.com

Currently in Los Cabos Mexico. Nice morning view from the hotel lobby

I find the foods for the Superb Owl quite exciting, chili, nachos, wings, etc. What are you cooking today, bonus karma for pics. #SuperbOwl

I remember being in my teens, going to the bookstore & discovering the book of band family trees. I found it fascinating when band members went on to form or join a new group in the trees. Many bands I had never heard of, except maybe 1 or 2 in the tree. Gave me ideas on other bands to seek out

I was just at Ace hardware and they were playing the Welcome back Kotter theme song. Reminded me of The Nature Kids.

Old man tip #1347: Start taking glucosamine, I've been taking it for a few months and I believe it works. Helps with joint pain.

I've been reading this Thurston Moore book, "Sonic Life", slowly for quite a long time. Finally finished it today, lots of interesting musical history. #SonicYouth

Really enjoying this new album/soundtrack Explosions in the Sky - American Primeval open.spotify.com/album/0N1aDL...

What cover songs are better than the original?

Conspiracy theories have now become reality.

I was wondering how long after sunset that it gets dark. Learned something new. Civil Twilight (first 20-30 minutes after sunset) Nautical Twilight (next 20-30 minutes) Astronomical Twilight (final 20-30 minutes)

Logan is very happy that I opened a new pair of shoes. He immediately jumped in the box. #cats

Bob Snow was a legend. He had such a big effect on downtown / Church Street and Orlando as a whole. I remember being a kid and seeing the Rosie O'Grady's skywriting airplanes a few times a week. #Orlando #ChurchStreet #BobSnow

Made this for dinner tonight. Salmon Bites over rice with Sriracha mayo and chives. #Salmon #Dinner #CookingAtHome

Anybody here a fan of Samsung DeX? It's a pretty cool feature for your phone that lets you hook it to a hub and use it like a desktop PC I just bought a hub for $25 and plugged in an old mouse & keyboard I had laying around and now I basically have a full fledged computer I can use on my big screen

Always try to be a yes man.

Been waiting for this!

Stargate is Skynet

I heard murmurs of a snow gator, can anyone provide evidence?
