Reminded that The Avengers predicted novels written by AI way back in 1969. And at an entirely accurate speed!

Sorry to hear David McIntee, stalwart novelist of Doctor Who's wilderness years, has died. He was reliably inventive; I loved his Doctor-free 'The Face of the Enemy'. In between commissions he'd send me long, dense single-spaced typed letters, often annotated in biro as he read them back. RIP, David
