No. Now is not the time to play dead. The Democrats have already played dead for too many years. 60% of our people are living paycheck to paycheck. Millions of seniors are going hungry. Now is the time to stand up for the working class of this country.

Q: What's the difference between Rahm Emanuel and a sack of shit? A: The sack.

My week at work included no heat and a late-Friday flood in my office.

I don't no who kneads to here this rite now, butt: bad spellers of the world, untie!

It's no coincidence that Elon Musk looks like Dr. Evil.

Oh. My. Word. An incredible looking game from one of my favorite devs. #cantwait

@emmabolden.bsky.social is my favorite follow on here without question.

<shouts into the deep blue> 1. Joined @stevehalle.bsky.social this week as assistant director of the Publications Unit at ISU (!) 2. Today is a fundraising day at ISU, and it'd be rad if you were able to throw some $$ at the Pub Unit so we can continue to support the excellent:

Yup.

my daily workout is just carrying around my anxiety

I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

Today I did a Deadlift Party workout up to 490, failing on my 495 attempt. Not too shabby! 💪

happy valentine's day

Do you think anyone answers the question "what's your favorite song?" with "Cotton Eye Joe"?

🔥🔥🔥

Pretty much sums it up.

own your shit. buy physical.

"If you see no one helping, be a helper" is a quote I try to live by. But I often wonder, who helps the helpers?

Here's a sobering thought: perhaps it's better to start thinking about what we're going to do once Trump has burned everything down. What do we actually want society to look like, knowing that "the way it has been" won't be an answer. The conservatives have given their answer.

Elon Musk is a full-on supervillain who purchased the Presidency for a madman.

Perfectly fine being the medium kahuna.

I fully expected the U.S. to become a diminished state within my lifetime, but I genuinely never envisioned the downfall being so profoundly stupid

Finally a scientifically backed justification for my dad bod and my FATHLETE mentality.

It's too bad Nintendo Enthusiast is no more. Their Wii 100 video series (ten videos of ten games from ten genres) was really helpful in figuring out games to try on that system, which had a lot of shovelware. I'd like something like that for the Switch for the same reason.

Truly, my heart breaks for Dipshitler

I really enjoy this racing game; it's great to get the backstory.

We're delighted to announce our two titles for Fall 2025. Lana Lin's THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF H. LAN THAO LAM and Laura Vazquez's THE ENDLESS WEEK (trans. by Alex Niemi). Both books will be out on 10-7-25. Please visit our website for more info on these two amazing books and their authors/translator! 🦉

I enjoyed The Substance so much. It was like watching Cronenberg X Wilde's Picture of Dorian Gray X GWAR through a feminist lens. Visually impressive, too. Will be checking out Fargeat's other work soon.

I am devastated - David Lynch’s films meant everything to me, changed me, let me see the impossible, made me an artist. There will never again be a voice like his. I am gutted about the films we won’t see now, but so grateful for the body of work he left us. It was enough. It will never be enough.

💔

David Lynch's works not only entertained and compelled me, but they also taught me a lot about how an artist sees and accentuates. He will be missed.

Six days in and 2025 is already a hellscape.

The beat for "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Madvillain is like watching a Swiss army knife open to an amazing, unforeseen attachment over and over again.
