Watching the Armando Iannucci documentary from earlier this week and suddenly want to see Michael Palin in a Derek Guyler biopic.

On the Buses first aired 56 years ago today. Imagine if it had been written as a gritty kitchen sink drama by Alan Silitoe instead of a first draft only, badly acted sitcom by Wolfe and Chesney. No need to imagine... youtu.be/fr2XRF_zjHM?...

I haven't got time to defend your claim that I spoil my cats, I'm too busy sprinkling cat grass garnish over their food.

If Corky gets to call him Charlie, then it's unfair that Eric and Hattie still have to call him Mr Brown.

I'm not saying musical bins are a bad idea, but when your city council is bankrupt it does seem a bit elaborate.

This can be the updated version of that Cilla Black thanking her guests supercut that did the rounds a few years ago.

Like when BBC1 and ITV used to badly overdub swearing, probably still got films on vhs with people being told to get the fun out of here.

Good to see Grant Mitchell back in the square. #Eastenders

No spoilers but today's #Eastenders deserves all the awards, plus one for Steve Mcfadden. Congratulations again to the casting department for finding a young Phil who looks like every Ben Mitchell regeneration.

Excellent 'first line spoken' reference from Billy but even more impressive is Ian's use of 'slap up meal', a phrase that definitely needs bringing back. #EastEnders

I know you shouldn't do spoilers, but I am looking forward to the 40th anniversary week on #Eastenders when it is revealed to still be 1985 and the whole thing was Reg Cox's dream.

Just got round to listening to this, nice one Pete.

I love Black Sabbath but come on! How much more money can they squeeze out of poor Ozzy before he expires?

RIP Actor, comedian and sitcom legend Brian Murphy.

I got banned from a local Facebook group for replying 'there probably is if you're good at them'.

I have a weakness for these funny column headlines. In fact, they are my A.Chiles heel.

Same mistake every Chinese New Year's Day. Be careful at work today.

Lolz! Ian mentioning The Baker Street Boys. #EastEnders

What about Boycie warnings? Denzil warnings? Micky Pearce warnings... You get the idea

I was sad when Tony Hart passed away, especially as he did it again in 2015.

Happy anniversary to my finest Facebook moment.

I'm sorry to hear that Tony Slattery has passed away. Perhaps the most prolific comedian of the late 80s and early 90s. What's the Matter With Tony Slattery is an informed and moving documentary on mental health that should be shown in schools.
