This is a wrong turn by government. It was always going to be a problem with many of my contemporary friends and colleagues unable to respond to shortfalls in their pensions with insufficient notice. I would have no issue in paying a little more in tax to right this injustice.

Went up the A1 today and the roadworks by Barnsdale Bar are still there for what seems like a decade, and congestion even worse southbound as the A1 and M62 converge. I was able to grow a beard, calculate Pi to a trillion and witness a new geological age whilst in the queue. Nice sunset though.

Someone has recently posted that there are no Temu ads on here. Fantastic! On X they were on every sixth tweet, I have no desire to "shop like a billionaire" or plant wigs on bald guys, despite "not liking this ad" 1000 times, my timeline did not get better!

Gradually moving off X (Twitter) as not a fan of Mr. Musk's style or culture. Too many right wing ignoramuses. Everyone says this is more like twitter used to be like, so here's hoping.
