Blue Monday - but listen to the lyrics! www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1Gx...

Shit, if wanted more cat pictures, I would go to YouTube!

Is the stable renewable energy we have been seeking?https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/jun/01/tide-turning-europe-beyond-favour-nuclear-power

Just a great song! www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDtM...

also www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyCE...

Also this is from the 1970s. This is what the Republicans think of you now! www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQvV...

Joni Ernst! Really! www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDK9...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl2J...

Oh and one more, we are keeping up beat!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i7D...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EMF... I must admit I see only cats and rabbits here. You do know you have to fight for your democracy. Not just escape from a hell scape (X) but attack said hell scape! Tuning out is worse! www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EMF...

Did you see that Bird?

This track sums things up, as far as the US President is concerned, pretty well! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz9I...

However, I hope New York's infrastructure has recovered from the following video;) www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY87...

Anyway, I was struck by the teenage groups that I teach. They are very much different but very much the same ( I am a boomer.) They do laugh at the same things, and are concerned about the same things as me, job, money. etchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh2KOfFkTuk&list=RDXh2KOfFkTuk&start_radio=1

Also, Dems get a backbone. You're faced with an institution, then call it out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqrA...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbv... Dems get some balls! Don't get care who's voted in or out in the DNC! I want people who represent working people! If you ain't up to the job, fuck off!

There really is a difference between historic events with witnesses that are still alive, and events where there are no longer any witnesses such as the Battle of Waterloo, the Boston Tea Party, the Battle of the Somme. However, this is unbelievable but true! www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

One fact I learnt about China. We do tend to,whether we like it or not, stereotype. English drink tea, Italians always eat pasta So when you say China, one of the first thoughts, is it's population, and people are everywhere. Below is the Hu line, the numbers you see are the population!

Photography has been around for a long time. But early photography adds historical significance! For example this. This is a photograph of veterans from the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Not a painting, a photograph of men who fought in a battle 210 years ago!

Anyway, here's some street murals. I think they're pretty cool! lodzstreetart.com/en/murals/ Fun fact- the author of The Witcher - Andrzej Sapkowski - was born and lives in Łódź (pronounced "woodge") in central Poland. See if you can spot the Witcher mural.

I remember as a kid planning to go to a Greek Island in 1974. It was cancelled due to Turkey's invasion of Northern Cyprus. We went to Croatia (the former Yugoslavia in those days). Lovely country! However, northern Cyprus is now back on the front pages. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

I saw this, and apologies if it has been posted before. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

This cheered me up www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Another thing I saw about about a month ago was the World Happiness Index. Now do understand, it's a subjective thing. However, it's still interesting, have a browse, if you have not done so already. data.worldhappiness.report/table

I must admit this cheered me up! www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Hi err, this www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIsn...

And this is a long read. But try and get through it because it shows the "in-structure" mechanisms which allows democracy to fall to dictatorship! And of course it's George Orwell who wrote it! www.marxists.org/archive/orwe...

So what could go wrong. My wife said, "I know a short cut in East Germany!" Shocker, she had no idea! So I was followed through dark streets and avenues for three hours (2am to 5am) by a motorbike (probably Stasi:). That was until we got back on the transit route and continued on our way!

Anyways (as you Americans like to say), I am driving in East Germany, and had a western registration plate (UK) in 1990. Now, as I was driving from London, the consequence was that I had 3 official (and compulsary) transit routes across East Germany.

Welcome to 1977/78 Punk www.youtube.com/watch?v=huaL... You are welcome. However, when I was driving in East Germany in 1989, during my car journey from London to Łódź, another song came in handy!
