Canada is heading toward a hyper-polarized two-party system, splitting the country and locking regions into one-party representation. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Join @acoyne.bsky.social and Prof. Dennis Pilon for a webinar on fixing our democracy. #cdnpoli us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

She was right. #USDemocracy

If you have access to Canadian TV shows do not miss The Fifth Estate today. Actual professional journalists have put this together.

And there you have it. ICE didn't target migrant workers in Kristi Noem's farms or Sarah Huckabee Sanders' meatpacking plants because they wanted to create a riot in LA as a pretext to declaring martial law. They don't care about undocumented migrants, they only care about controlling US citizens.

Correcting the below: these 18 schools are planning a friend-of-the-court brief in Harvard's suit against Trump admin over the federal funding halt, not the foreign-student ban.

In a CNN poll released a few days back, most respondents, across racial lines, thought that “an increasing number of people of many different races, ethnic groups in the U.S.” was “mostly enriching” instead of “mostly threatening.” s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25... (CQ2)

Thank you for your service to all the firefighters and first responders in #Canada who are fighting the hundreds of wildfires in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta #ThankYou

I'm just glad one of these men has the nuclear codes and the other has all our personal data.

Bravo Bonnie Critchley. Yes, she can!

Please help Bonnie Critchley in her campaign--as soon as the by election is called for Battle River Crowfoot!

So, Pierre Poilievre believes he can just ask another Conservative MP to gift him a seat in Parliament? Not how it works in a democracy. You have to earn it. Bonnie Critchley is a Independent candidate for Battle River–Crowfoot. A 22 year veteran and unlike Poilievre she is local and honest.

A Centrist, Independent candidate going against Pierre Pollieveau - Bonnie Critchley!! #CanPoli; #byelection; #alberta; #neverpollievre; #steveboots www.facebook.com/profile.php?...

Bonnie Critchley is trying to run as an Independent in Battle River-Crowfoot and is asking the Longest Ballot Cttee to stand-down as they are interfering with ability of local candidates to get signatures. LBC really need to find a better way to make their point w/o interfering w democracy.

Bonnie Critchley has announced she’ll run as an independent in Battle River-Crowfoot. She’s not pleased with Poilievre pushing aside their elected MP & parachuting himself into her hometown. She’s a retired army veteran (22 yrs service). See her letter to the longest ballot committee

Absolutely! Bonnie Critchley is exactly the kind of leader we need. She’s grounded, experienced and committed to serving people, not herself. A 22-year CAF vet who actually earned her place in the community. 💪 Support Bonnie. 🚫 Stop Poilievre. ✅ Take back the riding from the Stornoway Squatter.

Remember all the predictions? So glad they were wrong. Poilievre will have some competition in the byelection including Bonnie Critchley, a retired 22-year Canadian Armed Forces veteran, a long-time resident in riding And another longest ballot challenge🤭 #cdnpoli #onpoli #bcpoli #abpoli #skpoli

I want to see Army Veteran Bonnie Critchley kick Pierre Poilievre's ass in Battle River-Crowfoot.

Bonnie Critchley is running against Trump pick Nazi Pierre Poilievre. Lets destroy him. Pls donate! Volunteer! Vote for bonnie! @pierrepoilievrecpc.bsky.social

Let’s go Bonnie Critchley!!!

Bonnie Critchley, independent candidate for Battle River-Crowfoot. #CdnPoli this candidate has the right stuff & can send Pierre packing! Support her, as we know he has no problem blowing stupid amounts of cash on his quest for PM #WomenAgainstPierrePoilievre #AbPoli www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...

Bonnie Critchley, a retired 22-year Canadian Armed Forces veteran and long-time resident of Battle River–Crowfoot, has announced her intention to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming by-election.

Bonnie Critchley - Independent 27 May at 16:53 · An open letter to the Longest Ballot Committee: My name is Bonnie Critchley, and I live in Battle River - Crowfoot.

What a sad, sad day in Canadian politics. Marc Garneau was 1 of the most extraordinary people ever to put his name on a ballot. What a highlight when he came on @tvotoday.bsky.social 8 months ago to discuss his memoir. www.tvo.org/video/marc-g... #cdnpoli #MarcGarneau @liberalca.bsky.social

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Marc Garneau. As a colleague in cabinet, I witnessed firsthand his thoughtfulness, integrity, and deep commitment to public service. He is a Canadian hero whose legacy in science, space, & politics will endure. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

Very sorry to hear the news about Marc Garneau. A true public servant, and a class act.

I am saddened by the passing of the Honourable Marc Garneau. A true trailblazer and the first Canadian in space, he inspired many of us through his service and achievements. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Pam, and the Garneau family.
