Shooting the Leo triplet with absolutely the wrong focal length (150mm on APS-C). Still could not force my setup to guide at all. In other news, today I met the land surveyor (hope it's the right term?) who outlined to walls of my house for the foundation layers, and he was using a beautiful Carl Zeiss theodolite "probably as old as he was". Fascinating piece of technology, all high quality glass and thick metal parts.

Random Musical Fact: In early 90s Poland there was this trend to make eurodance songs sung in Polish, but with some rap inserts in English. This is a prime example, and it's fascinating, you need to listen to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53oQhgceYDw

100 years ago, Cecilia Payne discovered what the stars are made of It might seem obvious today, but it was just 100 years ago that we discovered that the Sun, and all stars, are made of hydrogen and helium. We should thank Cecilia Payne for that. bigthink.com/starts-with-... #space #science #stars

Hey networking/LXC specialists. I have NextCloudPi running as an LXC container. To access it, I set up routing on my Mikrotik router (screenshot). The problem is that accessing NCP this way is very slow, I need to wait 5-10 seconds for the page to load. I […] [Original post on fosstodon.org]

[My thoughts about the game Terraria] When playing Terraria, for each boss I have the same stages - it's impossible to beat - OK, I can beat it with difficulty - *farming it* - killing it with a few hits, without a second thought With my current build, I have zero problems with Plantera. Golem […]
