I just subjected my friends to another "bad" film night. This double feature was Monster A-Go, and I Don't Want To Be Born. Monster A-Go is a terrible film full of bad editing and the strangest phone ringing sound effect EVER! I Don't Want To Be Born was trashy fun, and the acting is fine.

The mystery of the killer is the weakest part of this film. It does not matter when you have a memorable scene of Vincent Price talking to a scarecrow while stealing its clothes. His deranged moments have the right level of "camp." The special effects are charming, and the film has a good pace.

The film is a slow burn with gorgeous cinematography and atmospheric soundtrack. Nicholas Cage is, well, Nicholas Cage, take from that what you will. There is nothing new here, a mixture of Sinister and Silence of the Lambs. The film also needed a better ending as it became a little clichéd.
