I call myself atheist, and I also throw in with the Satanic Temple in principal: not for the theatrics, not because I was abused as a Catholic child, but I am encouraged and expected to do what actually works and what is right. Further down on the roadmap is Buddhism, but that may be for next time.

"I found a mailbox that said 'Sanders' on it. Am I a Kentucky colonel?" Grandpa Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have something approximating the right of it. I'll own up to the fact that I'm not politically involved because I have to work for a living. Aside from social media, what do YOU do?

BlueSky on American politics: it's a shit show, but hey - I can repost news article about something that won't surprise you. Without an organized call to action, we're just a large of group of invidividuals along for the ride without lubrication for the next four years. #unpopularopinion

I finished the "Throne of Glass" series tonight. Quite a bit drawn out, but generally entertaining. I thought that the character Manon was more interesting than most of the others.

Sexy time doesn’t need to be a hassle.

I received an out-of-circulation laptop from work for personal use. While it can (and has) run Windows 11, I won't have a company dictating to me how I use my hardware - or phone home with the details. I've got Linux Mint running on this; I'll likely migrate my desktop computer from Windows 10 too.

I am not a heavy gamer, and I don't cheat in online games: so I will not purchase or play any game that insists on installing kernel-level spyware. My use of your software does not grant you permission to access the rest of my system: it's not your damn business. #rockstargames #ea

AuDHD Adventures at Work: You're in the middle of a task when you ... (A) get distracted (by something relevant or not), (B) get interrupted, (C) forget where you've put something that you just set down on your desk, or (D) option C, but you're actually still holding it.

What passes for news in the U.S. now is comparable to a summary of Jerry Springer episodes and car wreck compilation videos. Daily knee-jerk "shock and disbelief" reactions won't do a thing to change the MAGA GOP/Musk tag team. It's not even been a fortnight and I'm over it.

As an autistic, watching NTs at work can sometimes be a mixture of surprise, disbelief, and amusement. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxz0...

IYKYK! 🤣

Humans like this rely on plausible deniability to get away with it long enough for actual power to be well in hand. No excuse for not seeing it. None.

On occasion, the C-level executives at my job like to send out surveys and encourage "anonymous" feedback. I call Bolshevik. If it's corporate, it is not actually anonymous and they're not interested in your honest opinion. If you're gainfully employed, then C.Y.A. and toe the line.
