New bike lanes on Route 66! 🚴🎉 Honored to celebrate with Councilor Baca, BikeABQ & the Downtown Core Neighborhood Assoc. As we near Route 66’s 100th anniversary, ABQ is showing roads belong to everyone. Small wins like this help shift the convo—let’s keep it going! 💪

We joined neighborhood leaders, students & advocates to see how I-25 expansion divided communities—& how new lanes & frontage roads could repeat past mistakes. It threatens safety, equity & local revitalization-even blocking a key bike/ped project. As Bonnie Anderson said: "This is not a done deal."

Change of time for our next Outer Districts Meeting! We will be meeting on Tuesday the 18th. See you there!

Monday, at 6PM, at the ABQ Center for Peace & Justice, our highway campaign will continue advocating against unnecessary expansion of I-25 through Downtown ABQ. We have outgrown flock of moons, so we also want to keep that energy going and are trying to meet biweekly, now! See you there!
