Weapon Parry! The parry is not based on physics collision between two weapons, I have to time the attack and parry animation manually. It's hard. Yeah, it would be better if it was physics based, but this is not an action rpg. #godot #indiegame #gamedev #jrpg #srpg #trpg #devlog #ErisaBloodMarch

An attack can hit, miss, be guarded or parried. This is a test of the guarding with shield animation. Next up will be the weapon parry animation. For missing, I don't think I have to do much other than show the word "Missed". #indiegame #gamedev #godot #jrpg #srpg #trpg #devlog #ErisaBloodMarch

I hate radians. I hate it when I spend 30 minutes chasing down a bug to find out invariably that I was working with radians when I wanted degrees. Who actually works with radians in practice. Anyone? Like do you think: I want to snap my rotation to PI/2 instead of 90 degrees?

Ever since I became serious about developing Erisa Blood March, I have played zero games. All my free time and energy goes towards game development. Game dev is extremely time consuming. You must create huge amounts of content. When I finish making this game, then I hope I can play games again.

In game development... Everything is more difficult than I expect. Everything takes longer than I expect. Every decision requires careful consideration. I find I am unable to compromise certain qualities for expediency. I get only once chance and can't screw up. I will continue working till done.
