Before & after. I think my favorite part of #knitting may actually be the blocking. This is why I like sheepy, rustic yarn— blooms beautifully. Star Anise pattern by Svetlana Volkova, worked in BC Garn Semilla Melange (100% organic wool). I messed up a few times but somehow it still looks good!

Husband (a master mechanic) is teaching me to work on cars via our “new” 1990 Dodge Dakota, named Darlene. Developing a new appreciation for my #UAW fam who built her: Darlene spent almost 35 years as a sparingly-used farm truck and she’s still in surprisingly good shape, all things considered.
