Honestly I'm more concerned about the people who view Trump's plan as a good solution than I am about him & Netanyahu individually. Too many people are sold on the idea of ethnically cleansing people they hate.

I am mostly at a loss for words these days. Reality seems too big to be wrangled into sentences. I just want to put it out there that that's okay too. Reading and doing are also options, even without writing or speaking. The world needs more understanding and more helping hands. Let them be yours.

Last November I sobbed when the cabinet approved the previous deal. I am much more hesitant now. And yet this feels like the first gulp of air in months. I am crossing my fingers tightly and thinking of the families that will need us to keep the pressure on so that this deal goes through fully.

Deporting your own citizens is plainly illegal. But it is a logical step for a government that views its own citizens as enemies and is thus willing to trade their security and life for its own populist ends.
