The simultaneous success of Sinners and Minecraft sends a clear message to Hollywood: audiences want movies to either be good or shit

Listening to Kae Tempest on repeat today. youtu.be/aTDOFaAcEyc?...

Good morning to everyone except George Vernon Hudson. Good afternoon to that motherfucker.

Increasingly feeling like a lot of tech products aren't 'for me' right now. Holding onto a phone (Pixel) and laptop (Yoga) I don't really love, because there's nothing that feels significant enough to warrant an upgrade. Always feels like if I wait for the next version, it might be the right recipe.

Parts of the new Sleep Token song sound like Bo Burnham's "All eyes on me" and you can't convince me otherwise.

wow just logged off and there are problems there too

y'all ever see a take so bad you are forced to immediately go to sleep?

Something must be in the water in France, because they keep producing some of the most interesting metal bands on the planet. If you ever wanted a cross between Igorrr, The Algorithm and Om Mani, check out Mirar. mirar.bandcamp.com/track/pr-sage

As a leader, you don’t have a choice in being a role model. The choice is how much energy you invest in being a good one. Being a good leader will always be "energy expensive." The challenge lies not in skills or knowledge, but in the sustained effort it demands.

Bitch I have evidence you used the entire existing canon of literature to train yours.

Great article, but I take issue when the media reinforces the idea that removing moderation equals freedom by continuing to refer to it that way. The lack of guardrails to ensure safe discourse has an inhibiting effect on the targets of digital harassment so that only the abusers are truly free.

Generative AI is a fascist project to destroy knowledge and learning and I will die on this very large hill.

This is devastating. I'd known Vicky in online design communities for the better part of a decade, connecting because we were both Kiwi expats in London. A great writer and thinker, and a huge loss to the community, her friends, and family. RIP. Some of her writing: www.vickyteinaki.com/newsletter/

I really hope at some point the rightwing victimhood thing rings hollow because we’re at the point now where they have the Supreme Court, 99.9% of billionaires, the house, the senate, the presidency, and they’re going “you know who is oppressing us now? The deaf”

@advancenine.bsky.social Had a great time with Night Stones at the end of last year. Any plans for a post-launch devlog on youtube in the near future?

*sips coffee. Chills out*
