Scotty and Kirk had a professional relationship, that of an Engineer and his Captain. The few moments where Scotty’s loyalty to Kirk felt truly personal were memorable because they were so rare.

KODOS MUSINGS. I’ve always found Kodos the Executioner in some ways to be a tragic figure. I often wonder about Lenore’s mother: perhaps in his zeal for fairness Kodos had her killed as one of less “valued members of society”. He clearly prioritized children in other cases (e.g. Riley)… 1/
