The coverage of the shooting of the CEO was sanitized to show only the moment before. If people saw complete video of this man die, they would maybe not be so bloodthirsty. We blur and hide the violence to a fault. We have always been that way. Our news is not graphic but our life is.

Just had a bomb cyclone in Seattle. The name bomb cyclone is terrifying enough. Got me thinking that we should give hurricanes villain names. A hurricane named Cruella, Sauron, Ursula, or Dracula would be more impactful than calling them Lisa, Travis, or Nick.
