Why protect Michigan’s drinking water when you can help out your wealthy donors?

So much damage

Blinded by the Light: When Brighter Headlights Decrease Safety - h/t Vox

We've already built more housing than any administration in 20 years — affordable and at market rate. By turning empty office buildings into affordable housing, we're producing almost 1,300 new homes, and almost 1/4 of them will be affordable to low-income residents.

Many products sold in the U.S. are made in El Salvador. In response to the El Salvador president’s statements today, we’re calling for an immediate boycott of all Salvadoran-made goods. Please help by listing any products or brands made in El Salvador in the comments below.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.” It costs less to house people.

Today's chore - planting 50 Eastern White and Red pine seedlings in our woods. Planted Norway Spruce last summer. Goal is to diversify the woods by adding evergreens and native trees. The majority of trees are Elm and Hackberry. Certain Juneau will be helping. #Satuday #Chores #diy #gardening

AHIL member Richard Day had his op-ed on Chicago’s high affordable housing costs published in the Sun Times! He advocates for focusing on cost-efficient designs and streamlining funding and approval processes to lower costs and house more families. 🏡 chicago.suntimes.com/other-views/...

Great piece about how Renfrew County eliminated homelessness. We are doing many of the same things in Ottawa, the scale is just so much more daunting. They housed 80 people. We house hundreds every year and still have 3,000 people experiencing homelessness. ottawacitizen.com/news/local-n...

All I know is that November 5th was Trump's Liberation Day. The prison sentence for the American majority started on January 20th.

“Once completed, the $64 million project at 79 W. Monroe will convert 7 floors of vacant office space into 117 mixed-income residential units, 41 of which will be affordable.” 🏘️ blockclubchicago.org/2025/03/27/o...

Trump is cutting hundreds of millions in federal funds that Minnesota uses to monitor infectious disease outbreaks like measles and avian influenza. This decision will leave Minnesotans more susceptible to illness. Attorney General Ellison and the State of Minnesota are suing Trump.

Democrats do work for farmers. ECAP provides payment to farmers per the American Relief Act signed by Biden in 12/24. Not surprised that this has not been cut by Trump. Farmers, please thank Biden, democrats and taxpayers when you cash your checks. www.wbiw.com/2025/03/31/u...

We spent a good part of last summer and fall removing invasive honeysuckle from our woods. With more sun reaching the forest floor, this little daffodil was able to bloom. Previously, the plant wouldn't bloom.

Take a friend or 3 with you Tuesday to vote for Susan

#caturday #catsofbluesky taking a break from Saturday chores with Juneau.

Wisconsin—ignore the polls & get your ass to the voting booth on Tuesday. Elon Musk is dumping millions to turn out a group that usually stays home—voters that the pollsters didn’t account for. Don’t let the richest man on Earth buy your state to serve his own interests. Show up and shut him down.👀

Pet sitting #caturday #catsofbluesky. Halo and Clay warming up in the sun. Tom warming up by the furnace vent. And Billy the old dog just sleeping this cold March day away.

Michigan. Farmers bailed out during Trump's first term due to harmful trade policies. Biden implemented the American Rescue Plan during Covid helping farmers. Her grant funding is frozen. Migrant workers needed. Tariffs. This is what you voted for. www.nbcnews.com/politics/eco...

Tariffs have thrown the auto industry into disarray, and workers on the Iron Range are paying the price. I’ve been in touch with the union to make sure that laid-off workers are getting connected to the resources they need. www.startribune.com/iron-range-l...

Trump's policies are working. The price of groceries has come down.😁

In East Central Iowa today. Farm country. Definitely a cult member. Little, if any, empathy for farmers who are negatively impacted by his policies.

VP Vance told businesses today that the solution to tariffs is to move your factories to the U.S. It’s not about fentanyl. Never was. That was a lie for Trump’s illegal use of “national security” to break the Trade Deal HE SIGNED. They’re not even good at lying. No U.S. deal means anything.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

A new bill threatens to repeal bare minimum renter protections. Tell Congress to protect the 30-day eviction notice standard & oppose the so-called “Respect State Housing Laws Act.”

The Iowa GOP advanced a bill making it a misdemeanor for a healthcare provider to administer a Covid vaccine. Even when a person has requested a Covid vaccine.
