A childhood friend of mine has dropped down dead of a massive stroke age 59. I broke off our friendship when my daughter was about 7yrs old as she was constantly telling me how my parenting techniques were wrong and I should do everything her way (think late Victorian child rearing) 1/2

I am right in thinking everyone wants to Rejoin the EU aren't I? Like if you do RT if you really do

Anyone else working out when Trump is asleep so you know when you can get a few hours of no terrifying newsflashes? I was worried it would be bad but this is so much worse than that.

Husband said let’s walk to the next bay over from our hotel to go snorkelling. It’s only 1.5km. 0.75km up a 1 in 3 hill and 0.75km down again. I amused myself on the climb by plotting various ways to kill him. Every little helps #LoveHimReally.

Having spent days in October planning and planting bulbs for a fabulous spring display, I will probably miss most of it as we are away for the whole of February 😭. #Gardening #UK #PoorPlanning

They don’t take the crap cars, the exploding cars and the food full of bleach and antibiotics. How prescient of them.

Every hotel in Thailand so far has had all the light switches on one side of the bed. The husband’s side for us. I am acutely aware now of how much I value the independence of being able to switch off my light when I want to.

Struggling in Thailand to keep my blood sugar stable. Is it the white rice or are they using palm sugar in everything? Anyone any food tips for low sugar in #Thailand ? 🇹🇭 #diabetes #CGM

Watching people’s food choices at the Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Some people mix some very strange things together.

Best bit about travelling is the glory of a whole month of no food shopping, meal planning, preparation, cooking and washing up. Just sit down and enjoy. First Thai curry eaten, waiting for the best bit, the first Pad Thai! Having 2 nights in Bangkok before we head to the sea. Snorkelling paradise

Packing to go away for a month travelling. Due to practical considerations we are taking backpacks. It’s awful trying to decide between 3 pairs of shoes or 2 pairs and fins. I normally overpack so this is killing me 😩

Can I mute the word “Trump” for the next 4 years please.

Drove up to Scotland to go mountain biking. I can’t even get out of the car, it’s far too crowded for my anxiety. Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter and I can get out then.

The Christmas cheese is finally finished with a cheese fondue. I realised we had no kirsch so I substituted it with Sloe Gin. It was delicious. Looking forward to the crazy dreams tonight!

Currently in a food coma after Afternoon Tea at Armathwaite Hall Hotel. The Chorizo sausage rolls were incredible. No more food needed today!

Inability to access NHS dental care and inability to afford to go private. Double whammy. Meanwhile what’s happening with the UK government’s key pledges? ❌700,000 urgent dental appts ❌Dental Contract Reform www.theguardian.com/society/2024...

2025 starts as it means to carry on, husband putting on his body armour to go Mountain Biking and I’m enjoying the show 😂

So glad to find Gary on here.

Spending 4 days with my 86yr old mother at Christmas reminds me never to share a house with her long term. I love her but she still knows exactly how to drive me nuts 😂

I had the most incredible cheese dreams last night. Can’t remember one of them though 😂🧀

We have so much cheese, we have bought more port and will have a cheese smorgasbord tonight as well as Boxing Day. Bring on the weird dreams!
