This newest scarf in progress just glows!! #weaving #woven #rigidheddleloom #woolaid

Next scarf is on the loom. I am using multiple strands of lace weight reclaimed merino wool for the warp. #reclaimedyarn #woven #rigidheddle #woolaid

Woven scarf finished - I love how it came out. This picture is more true to color than the WIP picture. #weaving #rigidheddle #woolaid

Progress on my socks 🧶 I like to make them TAAT to avoid the dreaded second sock syndrome, but I also prefer DPNs. They aren’t exactly at the same time, but hitting milestones at close to the same time so that I don’t forget counts and/or mods. #knitting

February “surprise skein” challenge selection was a purple Cloudborn superwash. I paired it with a coordinating fingering from stash for this cabled hat. Turned out a bit smaller than planned, but that is one benefit of knitting to donate - it will fit someone! #knitting #woolaid

Two pieces of an in progress baby set for Wool-Aid. Just need to finish the hat, make some mitts, and wash the little pieces and the set will be ready to go. The little stripey sweater turned out adorable. #knitting #woolaid

Cast on some socks for myself during the SNL 50th show last night. Finally using this lovely yarn from the 2022 MN yarn shop hop! #knitting #mnyarnshophop

I couldn’t resist making one of these adorable granny square chickens. I used selections from my fingering scrap bin, so she is only about 3” tall. #crochet #chicken

This hat turned out better than I had hoped. Yarn was reclaimed from a thrifted cashmere sweater that was white with a black/grey print (wish I had a pic!) The reclaimed yarn was lace weight and speckled. I held 4 strands together for this simple hat. It’s so soft! #cashmere #knitting #reclaimedyarn

Happy Valentines! This hat is probably the only thing I’ve ever made with hearts. Made by request a few years ago by someone who rarely asks me to make her anything. Pattern is Valentines Day beanie by Jeri Sullivan. #knitting

Started another woven scarf. I love how a variegated fingering warp adds so much interest to a simple weave. #weaving #rigidheddle

Most of the items I share on this page will be donated to Wool-Aid, so thought id share a bit about the group. Wool-Aid is a community of crafters who create warm wool garments for children who live in the coldest climates and have the least access to resources. #woolaid

Stack of woven scarves I’ve made over the last couple months. These all include wool and/or cashmere yarn reclaimed from commercial sweaters for the warp. #weaving #rigidheddle #woven

2 hats made as part of a Wool-Aid Ravelry challenge. I chose 12 skeins or group of skeins that have been in stash for too long and packaged them in bags labeled 1-12. Draw a number monthly and make something to donate. This was January. (Plus purple from the scrap bin to use it a up) #knit #woolaid

Mosaic moss stitch baby blanket is finished and blocked! This one will be sent to a fellow Wool-Aid crafter who will make the coordinating sweater, vest, hat, mitts, and socks to complete the baby set. #crochet #mosaiccrochet #woolaid

Scrappy mosaic moss stitch blanket took a warm relaxing bath yesterday. #mosaiccrochet #crochet #scrapyarn

Big thanks to Wool Aid for donating warm wool products for people in Ukraine hfu.org #hfu #hopeforukraine #woolaid

First post! Sharing a blanket that I made with crochet hexagons last year since my most recent FO is soaking today getting ready for blocking. As with most of my projects, this one will going to Wool-Aid. #crochet #woolaid
