“MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw” Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start

This Valentine’s Day, I’m joining @centenaryaction.bsky.social in celebrating women MPs! ❤️ I want to celebrate @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social because she fights so hard to call attention to and end violence against women and girls. Thank you Jess.

Good meeting with the Police, the County Council, the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office and @womensinstitute.bsky.social to discuss the plans to reduce violence against women and girls in Warwickshire. Good progress made. Looking forward to working together in the future.

New Year, looking forward to what 2025 brings for me. So glad l am a WI member. Made a difference to my life since joining the Cheshire Federation in 2016

Beryl the Old English Sheepdog seeing off the starling murmuration. Very brave 👏 😋

A timely reminder. Women don't "neutralize" anything. We complement. Together we are better. I wonder how Zuckerberg explained his comments to his wife.

Can't argue with that...

Thanks for highlighting - these are very encouraging results. I will encourage my local police force to follow the pilot and take part as soon as is practicable. And well done.

This is amazing, an 'ice tsunami' in Norway. It is so cold that the river freezes from the bottom and forms a dam. Eventually that will break (in this case 20km upstream) and this happens. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cuu...

Well done - this is a little known unintended consequence of the law which I first came across through work @womensinstitute.bsky.social did to promote Women's Aid whole system approach manifesto in advance of last year's general election.

Elon Musk is starting to risk getting Jess Phillips killed. She's been safeguarding minister for six months. She oversaw nothing relating to the rape gangs. As an opposition MP she was one of the most prominent campaigners for the victims. What he's doing is a travesty.

This just passed across my screen. Old but gold.

We did! Why not join the movement?

Musk didn’t invent Tesla, he bought it Musk didn’t invent SpaceX, he bought it Musk didn’t invent Starlink, he bought it Musk didn’t invent “X,” he bought it Musk didn’t invent Trump, he bought him

Yes, we heard the very inspiring @nazirafzal.bsky.social, of Starmer's team, talk on this at @womensinstitute.bsky.social at Royal Albert Hall last year. Don't underestimate the courage it takes to go after these gangs (threats to family etc). Musk should get his facts right before posting 🤐.

Part 2 of Rest Is Politics LEADING interview with Alan Johnson. Great chat with a great guy alastaircampbell.org/2024/10/102-...

god this is a fascinating (and worrying) piece

Big love Massive Attack for yesterday’s amazing Act 1.5 in Bristol. Huge achievement + incredible headline show too. And met some lovely people with whilst doing the final bits of collage on the super limited prints too ✂️ which hopefully raised lots for Doctors Without Borders (MSF) working in Gaza

Nope, I'm not anyone's 'baby' thanks. If you do this, or slide straight into my DMs, you'll get an instant block 😡

I thought I'd killed this fern I bought to remind me of my much loved late Mum... #littlemomentsofjoy

Thanks @anandmenon.bsky.social Nazir Afzal gave a heart-rending yet inspiring speech to the June annual meeting of the Women's Institute. His passion for ending violence against women and girls shone. A spontaneous standing ovation from 5000 members at the Albert Hall - and we're no easy audience!

July's (first ever!) national policing statement on violence against women and girls called it a "national emergency". Welcome to the party guys. Yesterday at #WarwickshirePride I spoke to two police officers (both male) there representing the local force - neither had heard of it. #notgoodenough
