Former SSA Commissioner @martinomalley.bsky.social: DOGE is taking money from beneficiaries, slowing down customer service, and laying off essential employees.

Wait. What??

And when you get to Clinton - He reduced the federal workforce by over 300,000 positions using a process that was thoughtful, transparent, and unquestionably legal and Constitutional. Congress approved it in advance (as they should) with bipartisan majorities in both houses. This is history.

In a big win for millions of Americans, a federal court granted our request to block DOGE’s unlawful access to private data from the Social Security Administration.

We are organizing rallies at Social Security field offices around the country as part of the mass mobilization on April 5th. Join us to tell Elon Musk and Donald Trump to keep their hands off our earned benefits! HandsOffSocialSecurity.org

This song is almost twenty years old, but the lyrics are so relevant today! youtu.be/sHz2IRSdTeE?...

Schumer cancels his book tour citing 'security concerns.' Yeah, right. His real concern was getting screamed at by Democrats in a dozen viral moments.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are executing a two-step strategy to make their billionaire cronies richer: Step One: Lie that Social Security is already broken. Step Two: Break it.

Le Canada est fort. Et, avec nos alliés, nous sommes encore plus forts. Président Macron, heureux de vous avoir rencontré en France. L’amitié entre nos deux pays fait l’envie du monde entier.

This is basically the same script how Russian gangsters moved the riches of the Soviet Union to private pockets... the Russification of the USA is going on...

We WERE warned...

Thou shalt fire Chuck Schumer.

Elon Musk is pushing to end phone services at Social Security, which 73 million retired and disabled Americans rely on to apply for and access their earned government benefits.

We sued to block the so-called "Dept. of Government Efficiency" from accessing Americans' sensitive data. The court must stop this unlawful overreach. Learn more: bit.ly/43KXBR8 @afscme.bsky.social @aftunion.bsky.social @retiredams.bsky.social

🚨 Trump and Musk want to fire federal workers, gut public services, and hand our government to billionaires. We’re not letting that happen. 📢 Join us this Thursday at 8PM ET for a mass call to hear how we fight back—together.

N.Y. Times, June 8, 1939.

1. In an affidavit, a former senior official at the Social Security Administration detailed how deputies for Elon Musk forced their way into the agency and gained access to sensitive databases The official warned that careless actions by DOGE could lead to interruptions in Social Security payments

My comment on Elon’s attacks on Social Security.

At 5 pm Fri, the Social Security Admin announced that it will withhold the *entire* Social Security benefits of overpaid seniors & people w/disabilities, even if not their fault—reversing a Biden-era reform that limited repayment to 10% of the monthly benefit. This will cause needless suffering.

WHERE WILL YOU BE TOMORROW?

@chrislhayes.bsky.social: Trump is taking the Big Lie to Social Security. The point is and was to "fabricate this elaborate, grotesque lie about a cherished institution of American government to sow enough fear, doubt and uncertainty among enough people that Trump can get away with destroying it."

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.

Social Security Administration offices are being closed across the country, and we need to act now. Please call your congressional representative today - it only takes five minutes. The system will ask for your zip code and connect you directly. Let them know you support SSA!

Emails titled “What Did You Do Last Week? Part II” were sent to federal employees, instructing us to list five bullet points of our accomplishments and copy our managers. This time, we were informed that it will be a weekly requirement, due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Mondays.
