The surest sign of Summer is not found on a calendar - it is Aster! She gets brushed often but won’t give up the winter cotour until threat of snow has passed. At elevation (+7,000 feet) it is not unusual to have Spring snow- we did twice. Rest assured that Aster has now dropped her winter coat.

The last baby turkey can not be alone, so…We were shopping for a covered playpen and wandered into the bird toys which was VERY interesting then decided to try “cat games”. The bug version got a lot of excitement then the warm oatmeal mash kicked in and turkey passed out. #bebes #farmchores

Thinking a lot about the kid who died of measles. The parents said they still will not vaccinate. I contemplate this one-handed trying to do anything to keep this chick alive in case he just needs a reason to stay. I am not better than anyone, but some are better than they are choosing to be.
